Hearing this, Mo Yan really wanted to slap him, and she actually did it.
He patted her head and glared at her.
"Do you think our family is very rich? I used to live a muddled life and never even looked at how much money we actually had."
You know that your dad used to manage everything. All we mother and daughter had to do was look pretty.
Your dad is gone. I can't accept it, so I've been living in a daze.
But I didn't sleep a wink last night.
Mo Yan looked at her very solemnly, her eyes filled with sadness.
Tuanzi: "..." Boss, you were sleeping soundly.
"Mom, what do you mean???" Xin Siyi was a little confused. She had always thought that her family was quite wealthy, so what did this mean?
Did their family actually have no money?
"Don't we still have the shop and the rent?"
Xin Siyi was completely bewildered. She still wanted to pursue her brother, but how could she support him, give him tips, buy tickets, and see him without money?
To be honest, there's nothing wrong with having dreams, and there's nothing wrong with having idols.
What is an idol? In the beginning, an idol was someone you admired and liked.
Just like some people's idols are scientists, great doctors, or the great father of hybrid rice.
They have all made tremendous contributions to their country. Everyone respects and admires them from the bottom of their hearts, and wants to become better versions of themselves, just like their idols, to bring glory to the country.
Another reason is that seeing that person is like seeing starlight, giving one a source of spiritual support.
I like him, I want to be like him, and become a better version of myself.
But I don't know when it started, idol worship seems to have changed its meaning.
There was a time when liking someone meant sitting in front of the TV watching her shows, observing her surroundings, and reading books.
Tell yourself to study hard, become a better version of yourself, and become her/his junior student.
Otherwise, just listen to her songs; that's enough to show your support.
But I don't know when it started, idol worship became associated with money. It seems like if you don't spend enough money, you can't support your favorite idol, or you can't be a fan of that idol.
Sometimes you can't really blame the idol; they're just a pawn in this game of profit. But it has to be said that it's disgusting when some celebrities encourage fans to spend money.
Those that require fans to spend a certain amount of money as a reward are even more disgusting.
Not to mention those who feel compelled to buy a particular item, only to end up wasting it all.
Isn't following a celebrity about pursuing the best version of yourself, because you discover their shining qualities and want to become like them?
"Our rent is only two or three thousand yuan a month, and the shop rent is only a little over ten thousand yuan a year."
These past two years you've said you didn't have money and I'd give it to you. I did the math and you actually used over 200,000 for a down payment. Tell me how you spent it?
Now our savings are gone. If you keep going like this, the two of us will be starving.
Mo Yan slammed her hand on the table and looked at her coldly.
"How could there be so many?" Xin Siyi was somewhat incredulous.
Actually, she's a bit of a romantic and looks-obsessed person. She'll pursue any guy she likes, regardless of whether he's famous or not.
Other people who follow celebrities at least know where their bottom line is, that is, they know how much they should spend, and they will stop once they exceed that amount.
But Xin Siyi didn't know that this was just a piece of char siu. She left as soon as she saw that someone offered to pay her.
I became completely obsessed with the last one I liked.
