The little girl wasn't afraid at all. She put her hands on her hips and glared at the two of them with hatred in her eyes.
It's clear that this little girl really dislikes them.
"Pah! You destroyed someone else's family! If it weren't for you, why would my father have sent me to the countryside? Why would I have been hurt by those bad people? You're the culprit who made me like this!"
The little girl burst into tears after she finished speaking, crying so heartbrokenly and as if she were in unbearable pain.
People around looked over and started pointing and whispering.
"What's wrong with you two girls? How could you bully a child?"
Little Koi was shocked. The two of them hadn't done anything, so why was everyone criticizing them?
"How did I bully her?" Mo Yan looked calmly at the people around her. "My sister and I were just passing by on our way to work when we were suddenly stopped by some random kid who said we were ruining her family."
Does a child's crying mean that the person is right? If that were the case, the world would have no need for laws, police, or justice.
Little friend, even if you're a child, you still need to think about your own words. I don't know you, how could I possibly destroy your family?
Mo Yan looked at everyone with neither arrogance nor servility, speaking each word calmly.
This impressed Little Koi. If it were her, suddenly being pointed at and talked about by everyone, she might have already started to feel helpless. Or she might have unconsciously used her abilities.
So, what's the difference between her and this little girl now?
She used to see everyone around her as a good person. Were they really good, really perfect, really without flaws? Or was it her abilities that made everyone like her? She was also misled by those superficial likings and couldn't see what the truth was.
The little koi carp actually lacked confidence. Since she took human form, she only had one friend, a winter melon. The two of them, one on the riverbank and one in the river, ventured into the world together, making a living by selling fish and winter melons.
Later she met He Ye, who treated her very well and said many sweet words, just like in novels and TV shows.
On her very first day in human society, she fell in love with those idol dramas, with those love stories, and with the unforgettable moments depicted within them.
She thought that sweet talk meant love, but when she found out she had been deceived, she was very angry.
Little Koi was seriously thinking about her life over the past two years. Every time she moved, she was afraid of being turned into a spicy fish head. She wasn't actually as happy as she appeared.
"You ruined it. My father is He Ye, and I am his daughter. He sent me back to my hometown so that he could be with you, saying that he could only send me back after you got married."
"It's because of you that I get bullied."
The little koi fish snapped out of its daze upon hearing the little girl's voice; it turned out to be this little girl.
After hearing this, Mo Yan bent down and looked at the girl. "I do know the person you're talking about. He's a gigolo who says he loves me but I have to support him."
However, he never mentioned having a daughter. If I had known, there would have been no way I would have been with him. Who does he think he is!
The little girl was very angry when she heard this. What was he doing? Was he looking down on her?
The little girl spoke up, not to be outdone.
"So you're just disgusted that my dad has a daughter. If that's the case, then your love is very superficial."
After listening, Mo Yan nodded and told the truth directly.
"That's right, I'm disgusted. Why should I, a perfectly good young woman, become someone's stepmother? Even my parents wouldn't agree to it."
If he had said he had a daughter from the beginning, I wouldn't have given him a second glance.
If he had told me beforehand whether or not I wanted to be with him, it would have been my freedom. But he didn't tell me, he deceived me, and then he made you come here to ruin my reputation. So I'm going to sue your father for marriage fraud.
Besides, your dad can have countless girlfriends—it could be me, it could be someone else. No matter who it is, he'll find another girlfriend and get married. In other words, what you should do is tell your dad to stop finding girlfriends, not come looking for trouble with me. Or, you should study hard and rely on yourself in the future, not on your dad. Can you really trust a liar like him?
Those around listened and thought it made sense; no parent would want their daughter to marry someone with a child.
"You're discriminating against children."
Mo Yan chuckled. This kid was so naive. "Little kid, your imagination is a bit too rich. I even find your dad disgusting, why would I like you? I don't know you, and we have nothing to do with each other, why would I like you?"
I just want to face life and enjoy it, so why would I want to be a stepmother? I really want to be a mother; wouldn't it be better to have my own child?
At least she's my own child, so I'm willing to love her however I want.
