When she said these things, she had a smile in her eyes, giving people the feeling that she was easy to get along with; she was quite good at pretending.
"Okay, then I'll have to trouble you. I'm sick and might forget a lot of things, and even my legs are a bit weak. I might need your help in the future."
Mo Yan was ready to get a wheelchair immediately so that the woman would think she could no longer walk.
"No problem, no problem, don't worry, I will definitely do my best. We also have a probationary period."
My name is Gao Dahua. May I ask how I should address you from now on?
This tall woman looked exceptionally polite at that moment, and her clothes were clean and tidy. She didn't seem like the kind of person who would mistreat the elderly at all.
"Just call me Ms. Mo. When can you come to my house to start your trial period?"
"Anytime is fine, we can start work whenever we want."
Gao Dahua quickly spoke up, afraid that she would lose her job.
Taking care of an elderly person who is able to move is a completely different concept from taking care of someone who is immobile.
"Then let's take a look at the contract. Once we sign it, we can leave."
After reading the contract, Mo Yan signed it and took her back.
Gao Dahua was stunned as soon as she arrived home.
This place is so beautiful! It's so big, with a yard and a building.
More importantly, is Mo Yan the only one living in such a big place?
She looked at Mo Yan carefully, noticing that she was about the same age as her and wondered how she was so lucky to have such a big place.
"Ms. Mo, is this all your house?" Her eyes held envy, and an indescribable emotion.
On the way back, Gao Dahua learned that Mo Yan had never been married and had no children. The house belonged to her alone. She thought it was just a small apartment, but it turned out to be a whole building. How could someone be so lucky to be born into such a family?
"Yes, this whole building is mine. It's too big for me to live alone, so I wanted to find someone to keep me company. By the way, you don't have a job, so you just need to clean the house every day and cook three meals a day to take care of me. Is that okay?"
Gao Dahua was still looking at the house, her heart filled with envy. She could never afford a house here in her entire life, but this person actually owned one.
"Ah, sure, sure."
Gao Dahua quickly agreed, "Then where will I stay? I'll put my things down right now and start working."
“There are two more rooms on the first floor, a guest room and a storage room. You can stay in the guest room. My two nephews and nieces live on the second floor, and I’ll stay on the third floor.”
Mo Yan pointed to each floor and explained it to her.
"You don't need to clean the second floor, they will clean it themselves. You just need to clean the first, third and fourth floors and be responsible for three meals a day."
The fourth floor doesn't need to be cleaned every day; once a week is enough.
Gao Dahua was even more envious. Living on an entire floor all by yourself! "Ms. Mo, since you have so many houses, why don't you rent them out?"
"Why rent it out?" Mo Yan asked with a smile. "Wouldn't I be comfortable living alone? I would feel very uncomfortable if outsiders moved in."
I don't lack money, so there's no need for me to rent it out.
To Gao Dahua, these words sounded like they were said on purpose. These rich people were really going too far, always saying they didn't lack money. Were they implying something about her?
If it were her, she would definitely rent out all the empty rooms, and she could recoup a lot of money from the rent in just one month.
"Okay, I understand, I'll go right away."
Gao Dahua went to check out the guest room and was quite satisfied. After putting her things down, she began to familiarize herself with the environment. The more she looked around, the more she liked it, and the more she felt it was unfair.
How come Mo Yan gets to live such a good life while she can only work as a nanny?
She suppressed this injustice and went to cook. The refrigerator was fully stocked; it was clearly from a wealthy family.
She started working, while Mo Yan sunbathed in the yard outside, scrolling through her phone as she did so, living a very comfortable life.
Zhang Nan and Zhang Xia returned quickly. They met on the way and bought some fruit. They found it strange to find someone in the kitchen.
"Auntie, who is that?"
Mo Yan looked towards the kitchen and smiled as she spoke.
"Oh, I've hired a housekeeper to clean and cook three meals a day. You must be tired from working outside, so please get some rest when you get back."
The two were a little uneasy, as they had agreed to take care of their aunt.
"Auntie, didn't we agree to start working as soon as we got back?"
Zhang Nan was a little worried, wondering if his aunt thought his cooking wasn't good.
"Isn't it good that you can come back and rest? You've all worked a full day, aren't you tired? Just remember to pay me the rent and a little for food later."
Seeing her aunt's resolute expression, Zhang Xia tugged at Zhang Nan and asked, "Okay, Auntie, we understand."
Zhang Xia could tell that although her aunt was not talkative, she really cared about them and would give them advice. That's why the two of them were planning to start a boxed lunch business together once they got their salaries.
Zhang Nan always listened to Zhang Xia, and agreed that the two of them could make boxed lunches together, just waiting for their paychecks this month.
"Zhang Xia?"
Zhang Nan wanted to say something, but Zhang Xia pulled him upstairs.
After going upstairs, Zhang Nan was still a little anxious. "Zhang Xia, why did you pull me up here? Didn't Auntie tell us to do housework and cook three meals a day? If we don't do it now, we'll be breaking our promise."
Zhang Xia certainly understood this principle, but it was normal for her aunt to want to find a nanny.
