Chapter 1720 The Crown Prince is Doomed (Part 2)

"So it turns out Third Brother cares about me quite a bit. Then next time you have something to say about me, please ask me directly, don't go through someone else."

Mo Tu: "..."

Mo Tu felt a little embarrassed; it seemed inappropriate for him to ask so directly. "Little sister, I just care about you. These dishes look delicious; may I try some?"

"sure."

Mo Yan added an antidote to the food, so they would definitely not be poisoned in the future.

The two started eating. After taking a bite, they found the taste to be excellent and began to eat in large and small bites.

"Little sister, your cooking is so delicious!"

Seeing how happy they both were, Mo Yan smiled and said, "I added something to it."

The two looked up in shock, unsure whether they should continue putting the food they were holding in their mouths.

I'll send it over, but I don't know what they added.

Let's not send them any, they've both almost finished eating.

"The antidote pill is something I just developed. I was worried that you two might get tricked if you went out, since you're both not very bright, so I'll give you some antidote pills first."

The two: "..."

Okay, then let's keep eating. The antidote pills are fine, they said, indicating they didn't care.

They both continued eating.

...

The next day, it was time to go to school.

Mo Yan and Mo Lin shared a carriage, while Mo Tu rode in his own.

On the way there, Mo Lin kept looking at his younger sister. "Little sister, do you really have no feelings for the Crown Prince?"

"No, not at all. As far as I know, the Crown Prince has a white moonlight sweetheart, that is Mo Xian'er."

Mo Lin: "!!!"

Mo Lin was so shocked that her mouth gaped open, wide enough to fit an egg.

"How do you know? Could it be a rumor? I've never heard of it before."

"The Crown Prince is so popular; if others knew that, wouldn't they target Mo Xian'er?"

Mo Yan wanted to say that she was smart enough to have put forward a shield, so those rich young ladies were targeting her.

"If you want to protect your loved one, you naturally need to find a shield, and your sister is that unlucky one."

Every time I went to school, those rich girls would make sarcastic remarks and sometimes even try to play pranks on me.

Mo Lin: "!!!"

"Why didn't you tell us, little sister?"

"If I tell you what to do, you can beat them up."

That's unacceptable; Mo Lin knew he couldn't bring himself to hit a woman.

"So, I'm going to take care of them myself."

What they might see as a prank was, in the eyes of the original owner, a real and tangible harm. They had to suffer the consequences.

"Oh, that's good, that's good! Good luck to you, bro!"

"Um."

Mo Lin was quiet for a while, then ran over again, "Little sister, do you think that Crown Prince and Mo Xian'er are really together? You know, Third Brother really likes Mo Xian'er."

Mo Yan: "???"

"What? He likes Mo Xian'er? What does he like about her? Does he like her pretentiousness, or does he like her manipulative nature?"

"I like her because she's eloquent and pretty," Mo Lin blurted out.

"You like it too?" Mo Yan raised an eyebrow and looked at him sideways.

This made Mo Lin tremble a little. His sister's eyes were a bit terrifying. "No, no, I just wanted to know why Third Brother likes her."

"Then he must be truly blind."

They arrived at the academy quickly. Mo Yan got out of the car and went inside. The boys and girls had different places to study, separated by a wall.

Mo Yan went to her academy and saw a basin of water on the door as soon as she entered.

That's really child's play.

Mo Yan went in, and the water in the wooden basin was perfectly fine and hadn't spilled.

I did go and check and found that he was soaked to the bone.

Upon arriving at her seat, Mo Yan discovered a snake inside. She took it out, tied it into a bow, and tossed it away, telling it to find its owner on its own in a while.

The whole process was swift and efficient, leaving the other young ladies dumbfounded.

Looking at them, Mo Yan thought they were incredibly stupid; no wonder they couldn't defeat Mo Xian'er.

Mo Xian'er sat in the most conspicuous position, always dressed in white, like a sickly beauty.

She can indeed speak eloquently; she probably had someone write the poems for her. Her family hired someone to write poems for her, and she just had to memorize them. The more she memorized, the more eloquent she became.

It's like when you were young and had to memorize things. You memorize them as you go, and eventually you can recite a few sentences by heart.

Mo Yan isn't going to deal with Mo Xian'er right now; she'll wait.

During class, Mo Yan listened quite attentively.

After studying all morning, the teacher would assign homework and then let them rest. They would eat lunch in the cafeteria, which was alright. After all, these were all young masters and nobles, so they had to be served well, right?

While they were eating, Guard Geng appeared again. "Miss Mo, the Crown Prince invites you to a gathering at the lotus pond."

Mo Yan simply said two words, "I'm not going."

It was at this moment that Mo Xian'er, who had been paying close attention to the commotion, felt a pang of sadness. Even though she knew the Crown Prince was protecting her, she still felt a lump in her throat.

"Miss Mo, His Highness the Crown Prince has something to discuss with you."

"Then please invite Your Highness over. It's not appropriate for a man and a woman to meet alone. I'm a young lady who cares about my reputation."

Guard Geng: "..."

Others: "???"

The others wondered if Mo Yan was faking it or if she really thought that way, after all, it was His Highness the Crown Prince!

"Your Highness, I really do have something I'd like to ask Miss Mo."

“Okay, I’ll have my brother come over, and I’ll go with him.”

Guard Geng: "..." This guy is really something...
