Chapter 1972 Rescuing Daughter from a Thousand Miles Away 2

Her eyes were full of tears. She realized that she hadn't been abandoned, and that her mother still loved her. This realization made her incredibly happy.

She thought she had been abandoned, but it turns out she hadn't.

"Mom, I thought you didn't want me anymore."

Mo Yan held her in his arms. Her body was very thin, all bones when he held her. Of course, Mo Yan wasn't much better off.

Hearing the commotion, the scumbag's family members also got up. One of them, an old woman, came out and started cursing at Mo Yan as soon as she saw her.

"Who are you? What are you doing in my house? You're a thief, aren't you!"

Mo Yan remained calm, took out her phone, and waved it at her, "What do you think will happen to you if I call the police and say you kidnapped my daughter!"

The old lady panicked instantly. After all, Gao Leyi and her son hadn't registered their marriage, and their family members were all beating and scolding this daughter-in-law, Gao Leyi, who hadn't spent any money.

Who are you?

Mo Yan looked at the old woman, walked over and slapped her several times, making her see stars.

Her two other sons also came out. When they saw that the old lady had been beaten, they tried to rush over, but Mo Yan didn't hold back and beat them up.

After beating her enough, tell the old woman to call her son back. "Call your son back and tell him you're sick. Tell him to bring money back. If he doesn't come back, then I'll have no choice but to burn down your house."

The whole room was trembling with fear. This crazy woman has gone mad!

"Aren't you afraid we'll call the police if you do this?"

Mo Yan's lips curled up, and when she looked at them, it was as if she were looking at meat on a chopping board. "I'm already in the late stages of cancer, do you think I'm afraid of you? If you really piss me off, I'll kill you."

"Since I'm going to die anyway, it'll be good to take a few people down with me."

Mo Yan spoke while laughing, which made them tremble with fear.

The old lady quickly called her son to come home. After hanging up, she looked at Mo Yan fearfully, "Is it okay now?"

Mo Yan glanced at the sky outside; it was almost dawn.

"It's almost dawn, what are you all standing around for? Hurry up and cook, my daughter and I are starving."

The old lady was furious and was about to jump up when Mo Yan kicked her away, sending her flying a great distance.

Mo Yan looked at her other two sons and daughters-in-law, "Are you going or not?"

The two daughters-in-law quickly glanced at the old lady.

All the old lady could say was, "Go ahead."

In this family, the old lady is in charge. The daughters-in-law are all beaten and scolded. They work in the fields and serve the whole family at home. They are not even allowed to sit at the table to eat.

They could only eat the leftovers from the meal they had prepared in the kitchen. It could be said that the women in this family were their maids, servants, and hardworking oxen.

They have to do everything!

Just like now, even though they were very scared, they didn't dare to agree to anything on their own. They could only listen to the old lady's instructions and do things only after the old lady spoke.

"Make some cured pork and sausages. Remember I want to eat rice, so make it taste good."

Mo Yan wouldn't tell them not to do it; their minds wouldn't change overnight.

The old lady wanted to curse when she heard that, "That's something you only eat during the Lunar New Year."

Mo Yan stretched out her hand, looked at her fingernails, and said slowly, "It seems some people haven't had enough of being beaten. It's okay, I'll get started now."

The old lady trembled with fear and quickly said to them, "Do it, do it, do more! Let them stuff themselves to death."

Mo Yan went to check on her daughter's room again. It was alright, considering it was her son's room, which she loved the most.

Mo Yan pulled her daughter back to the room, and at the same time did not forget to tell the old lady, "It is best not to do anything stupid like spitting or putting medicine in the food. Remember, I will let you eat a bite of all those dishes. Also, if you have any bad intentions, you will be in pain all over your body."

The old woman was terrified. She couldn't understand how this woman knew she wanted to do this.

She was even thinking of making this woman eat her own saliva!

Giving them medicine won't work; they still need to eat it.

As for her two sons, they were beaten so badly they're terrified and are still trembling. They're useless!

The old woman looked at her two sons, thinking of sending them out to call for help, to summon all the men in the village. But what could she do, she was just a dying old woman?

The old lady's two sons went there after hearing this.

There aren't many young people left in the village; most have gone out to work. There aren't any like their family who just laze around doing nothing. If you were to call them in, they would be old men.

When the village chief heard that it was Gao Leyi's mother who had come to settle scores with them, he quickly waved his hand and said, "It's your family matter, you can handle it yourselves, we definitely won't interfere."

The old lady had no choice but to wait for her beloved son to arrive, hoping that he would make the mother and daughter pay the price.

Mo Yan pulled her daughter to sit down, looking at this place that was better than the other rooms but still didn't look quite right.

"Daughter, come home with Mommy, okay?"

Gao Leyi looked at her mother, her eyes filled with tears, "What will we do when we go back? Everyone will know that I ran away with someone and am pregnant."

Mom, I have no future anymore, do you understand?

For the next two years, I didn't study properly at all. Although I got my high school diploma, I didn't continue my studies.

Now I'm pregnant and stuck here. You want me to go back? Where can I go back to?

She made the wrong choice at a young and naive age, thinking it was love but it was actually a grave. Now, everything is her own fault.
