This village is very clever; they lock up all the disobedient children. They lock them up during the day and also when there are weddings or funerals in the village, for fear that they will escape.
To them, those women were merely spice in their lives, tools for procreation in their village; they served no other purpose. It was better to keep them locked up, otherwise they might easily become unruly.
Only women who are devoted to their families, have several children, and obediently stay in the village can be allowed to leave.

Mo Yan, accompanied by two maids, walked to the top of the dungeon. Below was what appeared to be a cellar, which was locked up.
Where are the keys?
The village chief shook his head. "It's not here with me."
Mo Yan kicked it away, then looked at the lock. "You don't think I can't open it without a lock, do you?"
Mo Yan reached out and ripped the lock off, then crumpled it into a small knot before throwing it at him. "Even without the lock, I can open it. Either you behave, or you die."
"By the way, you can go to the village entrance and see if you can still get out."
Some people should suffer the pain they inflict on others before they are punished by law.
Mo Yan opened the cellar door. There was no sound inside, only heavy breathing.
Everyone inside was afraid of being dragged out, afraid of being arrested...
"Come out, all of you, I'm here to save you,"
Mo Yan's voice was gentle and soothing, which made them feel much more relaxed.
They then got up in fear.
Mo Yan then realized that the cellar was too small to stand in; they had to climb up and down and could only huddle together.
Mo Yan became even angrier. She looked outside and said to the ghosts, "Grab all those men and stuff them inside."
Since these girls have to curl up, it's only fair that the men do the same, isn't it?
