Chapter 1 The Little Nun's Clever Fox

The mountain forest was shrouded in mist in the early morning. It looked quite beautiful, but unfortunately, Yaoyao couldn't appreciate it.

"001, didn't we agree to go out and enjoy delicious food, see beautiful women, collect merits, and reach the pinnacle of life? You're telling me that getting up earlier than the chickens and sleeping later than the pigs every day, and collecting dew here is a wonderful life!"

001 consciously blocked out the sound of Yao Yao's shouts and calmly said, "I'm just giving you an easier world since it's your first time doing a mission."

Yao Yao was speechless. "It's fine if you choose something simple, but at least find me a normal person. You found me a nun! Not only can she not eat meat, but she can't even leave the forest."

"Ahem, isn't this just for the convenience of collecting merit points?" 001's ethereal body felt a little guilty.

"Damn how convenient," Yao Yao thought to herself.

Yao Yao is a tree spirit, who doesn't even know what kind of tree she is. She has grown for hundreds of years without flowering or bearing fruit, not even as good as a fig tree, yet she still occupies the most blessed piece of land in the Six Realms, Spirit Mist Mountain.

But that's not all; after so long in human form, their cultivation hasn't improved at all. This makes them the target of jealousy, especially since they can't even enter Spirit Mist Mountain.

One day, while Yaoyao was happily eating and drinking her fill, she was chased by an unknown person and, while hiding, fell into a desolate place devoid of spiritual energy. Inside, yellow sand covered everything, devoid of any spiritual energy, and there wasn't a single thing to eat!

Although Yaoyao was a spirit in human form, she had never practiced abstaining from grains. When she was so hungry that she became so desperate that she could only eat herself, 001 appeared. He claimed that he could travel through three thousand worlds, take Yaoyao to the pinnacle of life, and eat all the delicacies in the world.

Starving Yao Yao naturally listened to everything. By the time she realized what was happening, the contract was already in place, and she was already inside the little nun's body. However…

This young nun's Taoist name is Qingming (which doesn't sound like a good name). She's also a pitiful child. She was originally a wealthy young lady from a well-off family, but unfortunately, when she went out to visit relatives, she encountered bandits. Her parents were hacked to death, and she herself fell off a cliff in a panic. Luckily, she survived and was taken back and rescued by a young nun.

Unfortunately, this young lady lost her parents and her family fortune, and in despair, she entered a Buddhist nunnery, becoming the Qingming we know today.

Unfortunately, 001 brought Yaoyao into this world just as he was preparing to become a nun.

As for Yaoyao, she has no cultivation, is carefree, and her biggest dream in life is to live a life of leisure and idleness. Her greatest hobby is beautiful women. Although she is a useless person, she is no exaggeration to be the most beautiful woman in the Six Realms. Naturally, besides living a life of leisure and idleness, Yaoyao loves to look at beautiful women to comfort her lonely heart at the top.

However, upon entering, one is not only faced with boiled cabbage, but also with a shiny bald head.

One can imagine what Yao Yao was feeling.

Today is Qingming Festival, and we're going out to collect dew from a wild tea garden five kilometers away from the temple. It's said that tea brewed with this water is exceptionally fragrant and mellow.

However, Yao Yao couldn't understand it.

Having to get up before dawn and walk such a long way to collect that damn dew made Yao Yao, who valued pleasure above all else, quite resentful.

After finally filling the container with dew, on the way back, 001 suddenly exclaimed excitedly, "Turn left!"

Yao Yao asked, puzzled, "001, what's wrong? That's not the way back."

001 said with a hint of disdain, "Who told you that's the way back? Just listen to me."

Yao Yao was puzzled but still obeyed. After all, she didn't know much about this world. She and 001 were in the same boat, and 001 would never harm her.

Before she had gone far, Yaoyao was drawn to a patch of white on the ground. Her eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, "What a beautiful fox! 001, I misunderstood you. It turns out you saw how pitiful I looked, eating nothing but plain water, and gave me a treat! You're such a great system!"

Then he squatted down, picked up the fox by the tail, and muttered softly, "I just don't know if it will taste good."

Mo Ze, who had just regained consciousness, exclaimed, "?!"

This human actually wants to eat me!

It struggled and shook with all its might. Yao Yao almost lost her grip, so she grabbed a withered vine from the roadside and quickly tied it up. She then threatened it fiercely.

"Behave yourself, and I'll leave you a whole corpse."

Moze: Aren't nuns supposed to love animals and not eat meat? How can this nun be so scary!

001 watched as Yao Yao tied up Mo Ze, feeling shocked and speechless. Weren't tree spirits supposed to be vegetarians?

"Don't eat it! Don't eat it!"

"Huh?" Yao Yao asked in confusion. "Why can't I eat it?" Yao Yao was confused and unhappy. Wasn't this a snack? Why couldn't she eat it?

"This isn't an ordinary fox; it's become a spirit!" 001 quickly explained.

Yao Yao looked at Mo Ze, who was tied up in a ball, with pity, and put down her hand that was picking up dry branches.

As a spirit with principles, it does not eat animals that have gained sentience.

Mo Ze breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Yao Yao had stopped gathering firewood; it seemed she wouldn't eat him for the time being.

Yao Yao was shocked after 001 rambled on for a long time about the fox's identity. Staring at the seemingly harmless fox on the ground, she could hardly believe that this was the ruthless boss that 001 had described.

001 "He hasn't even started to grow yet. He's still a kind-hearted good monster, if it weren't for..."

"Waaah, stop talking, I won't eat him anymore! I never thought there would be such a miserable monster in this little world. I thought I was miserable enough, but I never expected there would be even more miserable monsters. Don't worry, I will definitely protect him! I won't let those hypocritical virtuous people harm him!" Yao Yao interrupted 001.

001; ? ?

"Hey, no, I mean, you need to start with Mo Ze to gain merit points."

"Hmm? Why would you want to gain merit points from him?" Then, as if realizing something, her eyes widened in disappointment. "001, I misjudged you. You're such an evil leader!"

001 I'm so tired, what on earth is she thinking about?

He explained, "Mo Ze was betrayed by an evil sect because he trusted the wrong person. He developed hostility towards humanity, and because that sect's skills were inadequate, Mo Ze killed them, accidentally absorbing their life essence. And that evil sect's life essence was no good either. From then on, he became violent, killing anyone he saw, growing into a scourge. Countless lives perished. The life essence and malevolent energy of these living beings were the reason for his increased power, ultimately leading to widespread suffering and chaos in this small world. What you need to do is prevent him from cultivating the wrong path and stop the human tragedy. In return, you will gain a certain amount of merit points. Not the kind of merit you're thinking of stealing from others!"

Yao Yao suddenly realized, and looking at Mo Ze, she seemed to see herself reaching the pinnacle.

Mo Ze: ...What should I do if I feel even more dangerous now?

Yao Yao smiled with a kind and friendly expression.
