Chapter 113 A Brilliant Future (32)

Just as Kangxin's chairman got home and was about to pour himself a glass of water, his house suddenly lost power.

"How strange, why is there a power outage?" The chairman looked around the dark surroundings in confusion. Just as he was about to take out his phone to make a call, he heard a strange sound.

"Thump!"

"Who's there? Come out now!"

The moment he took out his phone, he heard a heavy thud behind him, and Kangxin's chairman felt his hair stand on end.

But no one would respond to him in the end, and he figured he might have misheard, so he didn't think much of it and turned around to pick up the phone he had left on the table.

But just then, he was surprised to find that his phone was no longer in its original place.

"Huh? Where did you go?"

Unable to find his phone, he was terrified, but he forced himself to remain calm, looked at the moonlight, and groped his way towards the door.

"Knock knock knock".

The sound was getting closer and closer, and at that moment he could no longer remain calm.

"Zhang Bin..."

A mournful voice rang in Zhang Bin's ears, and it was this voice that instantly reminded Zhang Bin of a very unpleasant incident.

But Zhang Bin didn't seem flustered at this moment. He acted as if he hadn't heard anything and continued walking towards the door on his own.

"Zhang Bin...why did you abandon me..."

The mournful voice continued unabated, and Zhang Bin began to panic, but he still didn't stop walking.

They even sped up, running straight towards the door.

Just as Zhang Bin reached for the doorknob to open it, he was surprised to find that the handle wouldn't turn.

"Knock knock knock"

The eerie sound drew closer and closer, and fear finally appeared on Zhang Bin's face.

He frantically turned the doorknob, but no matter how hard he tried, the doorknob remained motionless.

"Get out of here! Get out of here!"

Zhang Bin clearly felt a hand on his shoulder from behind, but he didn't dare to turn around. He just desperately twisted his body, trying to shake the hand off.

But the hand seemed nailed to his shoulder; no matter how Zhang Bin shook it, the hand remained firmly pressed down on his shoulder.

Zhang Bin felt like he was going crazy, screaming and hitting backward incessantly.

But what he touched when he looked back was a pool of mud, accompanied by drops of blood.

"Aaaaaaah!"

Zhang Bin screamed like a madman, pounding on the door and yelling, "Help! Help! Let me out! Let me out! There's a ghost!"

The security guards, who usually appeared promptly in case of any incident, failed to show up despite Zhang Bin's frantic shouts.

"You've ruined me so badly! Zhang Bin, I hate you."

The mournful voice gradually drew closer to Zhang Bin's ear, and whether it was psychological or not, Zhang Bin seemed to smell a rotting odor behind him.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong. Please leave. I promise to take good care of your family! Please don't come looking for me!"

Zhang Bin was terrified. He immediately closed his eyes, knelt down in front of the "person" behind him, and kept kowtowing and begging for mercy.

But the "person" showed no intention of letting him go and kept approaching him.

"Open your eyes and look at me! See, am I pretty?"

The thumping sound drew closer to Zhang Bin's head, and the stench of decay filled his nostrils.

Zhang Bin hesitated to look up, silently praying that the demons and monsters would leave.
