Chapter 53 The Arrogant Princess VS The Hostage Prince of the Enemy Country (16)

Lin Heng, who had been ruthlessly abandoned, shook his head helplessly as he watched Lin Han's departing figure.

Soon it was time for the autumn hunt. The autumn sky was high and the air was crisp, and the weather was very cool.

Lin Han watched as the ministers below gathered in twos and threes to chat, while the noble ladies gathered around the curtain to chat.

Lin Han watched as everyone else chatted, while she was all alone in the second seat, watching them eat, drink, and have fun.

"Tsk, your reputation has spread far and wide." Xiao Meng teased, looking at Lin Han's situation.

Lin Han didn't care about Xiao Meng's teasing; she didn't want to bother dealing with those insincere greetings right now.

No one came up to her at this time, so she had some peace and quiet.

As the emperor finished his opening remarks, the princes, princesses, and sons of ministers who had participated in the hunt all rode off on horseback.

Lin Han followed behind them leisurely on the horse that Lin Heng had personally selected over several days, as if strolling through a back garden.

But suddenly, as Lin Han rode along, he felt something was wrong; the horse was a little too excited.

Sure enough, the next second, Lin Han smelled a faint fragrance, and the horse beneath him suddenly became restless.

Lin Han almost fell off the train in an instant.

Those watching from the platform gasped in surprise when they saw Lin Han nearly fall off his horse.

Wei Yuchen immediately noticed something was wrong with the horse and quickly ran to the groom who was leading it. He picked a horse at random and chased after Lin Han.

Lin Han felt incredibly wronged. She just wanted to have some fun, so why was she being treated like this?

Lin Han gripped the reins tightly, not daring to relax her grip. At this moment, the horse beneath her was out of control, running wildly.

Lin Han, sitting on its back, was carried around by it, rushing straight into bushes when they encountered them. Various branches scratched Lin Han's delicate skin, causing beads of blood to appear.

"Lin Han! Hold on tight, don't let go!" Wei Yuchen caught up with Lin Han from behind and shouted anxiously as he saw her swaying body.

Lin Han naturally wouldn't let go. Putting aside whether she could land safely on the ground, it would be difficult for her to even maintain her balance on the horse.

Lin Han felt extremely nervous as she watched the trees rushing past her.

"If there weren't more than a dozen people watching around, I would have just moved you into my spatial dimension." Xiao Meng said regretfully, looking at Lin Han, who was in a dangerous situation on horseback.

"Isn't it just Wei Yucheng? Where did these dozen or so people come from? It's still morning, don't be ridiculous." Lin Han felt a chill run down her spine when she heard Xiao Meng's words.

"Wei Yuchen plus a whole bunch of assassins."

"Oh, right, these assassins are from two different factions. Perhaps you could let them fight amongst themselves?"

Xiao Meng answered Lin Han promptly, and then offered her own interesting idea.

"My goodness, if I can survive this, I'll really feel like I'm blessed by Lady Luck." Lin Han was still in danger, but he still joked with Xiao Meng.

Then Lin Han began to concentrate on controlling the crazed horse.

Just as it was about to crash into a tree, Lin Han forcefully turned it slightly to avoid it. As the horse continued to run, they got closer and closer to the interior of the forest. At this moment, Wei Yucheng accelerated and finally caught up with Lin Han.

Lin Han saw Wei Yuchen extend his hand towards her and instantly understood what he wanted to do. Looking at Wei Yuchen's calm face, Lin Han decided to take a gamble and wholeheartedly trust him, slowly letting her feet leave the stirrups.

But as she was leaving, she suddenly lost her balance and almost fell. However, Lin Han remained calm, quickly grabbed Wei Yuchen's hand, and then leaped towards him.

Wei Yuchen was also very helpful, pulling Lin Han firmly into his arms with a single effort.

Seeing Lin Han sitting safely in his lap, Wei Yucheng couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

After stopping the horse, Wei Yuchen pulled Lin Han to examine her carefully. Apart from her tattered robes and a severe injury on her palm, Wei Yuchen felt a great weight lifted from her heart.

"Are you feeling unwell right now?" Wei Yucheng asked, worried that Lin Han might have suffered internal injuries.

"Watch out!" Just as Lin Han was about to shake her head and say that everything was alright, she saw the scene behind Wei Yuchen, her pupils dilated instantly, and she shouted out.
