When Jia Yan saw her father arrive, she hugged him, pointed in Lin Han's direction, and began to cry, "Father, that bitch over there sneaked into the palace. I tried to drive her out, but she actually hit me."
General Jia, seeing the direction she was pointing, immediately turned terrified and covered her mouth, saying, "What nonsense are you spouting! Quickly apologize to the Empress!"
"Father, what are you saying! You actually want me to apologize to that bitch! She's the one who hit me! Why should I apologize!"
Jia Yan couldn't understand why her father, who usually doted on her, had suddenly changed his attitude towards her, even asking her to apologize.

Before Wei Yuchen could punish Jia Yan, General Jia said he would punish her himself. Wei Yuchen agreed, even though she knew he was trying to lessen her punishment.
"Then I'd like to see how you intend to punish him," Wei Yuchen said expressionlessly.
"This humble general will strike my daughter ten times on the spot. What do you think, Your Majesty?" General Jia said with difficulty.
Wei Yuchen initially thought it was too little, but when she felt Lin Han tug at her sleeve and turn to look at her, she had no choice but to agree after receiving a signal from Lin Han's eyes.
"General, let's begin."
"Father, you're not really going to beat your daughter, are you? No! Ten strokes of the cane and I'll die! Father, please don't!" Jia Yan became frightened as she watched the servants bring the cane up and hand it to General Jia. She grabbed his clothes and started crying.
But the servants quickly dragged her away and pressed her down onto the bench.
General Jia felt heartbroken seeing his daughter crying so hard, but there was nothing he could do. He could only close his eyes, raise the board, and strike her.
"ah!"
"Ah! No!"
"father!"
Jia Yan felt the pain in her buttocks and cried out. Even though General Jia had stopped using his strength, every blow landed squarely on Jia Yan's body.
After the ten strokes of the cane were finished, Jia Yan's buttocks were already a bloody mess. General Jia then quickly threw the cane aside and helped Jia Yan up from the stool.
"Since you have personally punished her, I will not punish her this time. But if she offends again, I will not let her off lightly." Wei Yuchen looked at the unconscious Jia Yan and was slightly satisfied.
"Yes, Your Majesty, I promise to keep my daughter in strict control and prevent her from offending Your Majesty again," General Jia replied tremblingly.
Wei Yucheng then led Lin Han away. Before leaving, Lin Han deliberately got close to Jia Yan and secretly sprinkled some medicine powder on her wound before leaving as well.
Lin Han only stopped after getting far away from the group of ministers, his face full of pain.
"Ah Han, what's wrong? Does it hurt?" Wei Yuchen quickly noticed that Lin Han's complexion was off and didn't dare to touch her again, asking worriedly.
"I twisted my ankle, it hurts." Since there were only eunuchs and palace maids around, Lin Han started to whine without any restraint.
Upon hearing Lin Han cry out in pain, Wei Yuchen quickly picked her up and strode towards the palace, while simultaneously ordering his servants to summon the imperial physician.
