"Fine, you've got guts. Let's see how long you can hold out." After venting his anger, the man picked up his phone again, looked at the shattered screen, and said coldly.
Then he dialed a number, and on the other end of the line was one of the directors of the program that Fu Zhenghang was participating in.
"Okay, okay, thank you. I'll treat you to a meal next time." Fu Zhenghang's father casually said a polite remark to the person on the other end of the phone before hanging up.
Fu Zhenghang, unaware of what he was about to face, continued to diligently practice his micro-expressions in the performance studio.
The following afternoon, Fu Zhenghang practiced as usual, preparing for the match that evening.
But then, he suddenly received a notification from the director.
"Fu Zhenghang, you don't need to play in tonight's match," the director said to him in a calm voice.
"No, why?" Fu Zhenghang didn't understand why he was suddenly not allowed to go on stage to compete, and hurriedly asked the director.
"Why so many whys? If it's not allowed, it's not allowed. You'll have to wait until next time," the director said coldly before hanging up the phone.
Fu Zhenghang felt extremely angry when he heard the phone call end.
Just then, Fu Bin called again.
Fu Zhenghang looked at the caller ID on his phone, but instead of hanging up, he quickly answered the call.
"Was it you who did this?" Fu Zhenghang asked Fu Bin bluntly.
“That’s right, I did it. How about it, are you convinced?” Fu Bin said proudly, thinking that Fu Zhenghang was starting to suffer.
"Ha, you're disgusting. No matter what you do, I will not give in to you. Bring it on!"
Fu Zhenghang was even more furious when he heard him openly admit that he was the one who did it. He hung up the phone, threw it on the mat, grabbed his hair, and sat down on the floor.
After a moment of silence, he got up from the ground and continued practicing quietly.
Even though he couldn't play in the evening's match, he didn't stop practicing.
He practiced until after 10 p.m., when all the lights around him had been turned off, before dragging his exhausted body out of the performance room to go back to his dormitory.
Outside the main gate, Lin Han frequently looked into the building while jumping around in an attempt to ward off the cold.
She exhaled and said, "My God, why isn't Fu Zhenghang coming out yet? I feel like I'm freezing to death."
Just then, she suddenly spotted Fu Zhenghang coming out of the building and excitedly jumped up and down.
"Good evening, Fu Zhenghang!" Lin Han waved her little hand at him excitedly.
Fu Zhenghang looked at the little figure bouncing around in front of him, feeling quite puzzled.
"Fu Zhenghang, are you cold? Here, have some." Lin Han handed him the thermos, and added, "It's filled with pure hot water to warm you up, in case he doesn't want it."
Fu Zhenghang took it from Lin Han and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Isn't today the day of the preliminary round? I couldn't get in, so I was thinking of waiting at the entrance. It's so late, I almost thought you had already left," Lin Han said, a little nervously.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't participate in the competition. I may have made you wait in vain," Fu Zhenghang said apologetically after hearing Lin Han's words.
"It's alright, it's alright. Whether there's a competition or not doesn't matter. I only came here to see you." Lin Han scratched his head and said nonchalantly.
Fu Zhenghang looked at Lin Han and tentatively asked, "So you're my fan?"
Lin Han nodded frantically, then opened her small backpack, took out a photo, and, holding a pen, looked cautiously at Fu Zhenghang and said, "Yes, yes, I really like you. Can I get your autograph?"
Fu Zhenghang naturally took the pen, signed his name, and then handed the photo back to Lin Han.
Lin Han quickly took it, and her eyes lit up as she looked at the signature on the photo.
The excited little figure in front of Fu Zhenghang experienced for the first time what it felt like to be cared about.
