Ai Cao, Xia Moli, and Nana walked towards the door together.
As she approached the door, she glanced specifically at the direction indicated by the system.
A boy was huddled by the door. His face was covered in dust, but his dirty face and tattered clothes could not hide his beautiful and slender face and body.
He seemed to have lost consciousness, his eyes tightly closed and curled up.
Ai Cao exclaimed, "She's such a beautiful porcelain doll."
But that was all she could say. Without hesitation, she used the [Menstrual Period] skill on the boy, then, without looking back, she walked through the security robot at the entrance with her cute pink card holder in hand.
Behind them came the boy's low groan, his voice still soft and not yet broken, along with a faint smell of blood.
"Has any luck been recorded?" Ai Cao urged the system.
The system covered its face with an imaginary hand: "...Yes. Which skill do you want to upgrade?"
"Let me see the effects of each skill upgrade first," Ai Cao said.
The system remained silent for a moment, then displayed the skill descriptions after several skill upgrades in her mind.
After upgrading the [Menstrual Cycle] skill, it can increase the other person's pain level and also provide random side effects; [False Pregnancy] can create a fake baby, and even with advanced examinations, no clues can be found.
The "Good Pregnancy" skill simply and directly reduces skill cooldowns, from one month to half a month.
After thinking about the evolution direction of these three skills, Ai Cao asked the system, "Is it that once 'Pregnancy' is maxed out, I can make whoever I want give birth?"
"That's not necessarily true," the system said. It then pulled out the skill upgrade effects up to level ten: "Look, if [Good Pregnancy] is maxed out, you can make your chosen partner give birth to a fully grown child."
The system continued somewhat awkwardly, "...Although that doesn't seem like a child?"
After thinking for a moment, Ai Cao upgraded her fake pregnancy skill by one level. Once the upgraded skill refreshed, she used it on the first person she encountered, the doctor in the white coat.
“We missed out before, but now that we know he’s a supporting male character, we can’t let go of his luck,” Ai Cao said calmly. “In short, let’s fill them all up first, and then let them give birth one by one.”
The system dared not utter a sound.
Having successfully blended into the city, Xia Moli exclaimed in amazement at the clean streets before her, which were almost completely different from those outside the city: "So clean!"
Nana nodded in agreement: "Yes." She glanced at a cleaning robot not far away, a stream of data flashing in her eyes.
The robot holding cleaning tools turned around stiffly.
“I’ve extracted their surface-level cleaning logic, but the deeper layers haven’t been deciphered yet.” Nana blinked calmly and said, “The person who wrote the program is more capable than the person who wrote mine.”
"Of course... he's the main antagonist, the big boss..." the system muttered.
According to the system, this was because the seemingly innocent but actually cunning research director was particularly fond of cleanliness, so he specially provided the city with cleaning robots free of charge. Of course, he didn't actively contact the city's mayor—he remained behind the scenes, observing the city through the robots' eyes.
Ai Cao glanced at the robot wielding cleaning tools, then turned and followed Xia Moli.
They crossed the street and arrived safely at the entrance of the clothing store.
Above the entrance to the clothing store hung a dim sign. The semi-transparent crystal doors were tightly closed, and through the doors, one could see neatly arranged, but somewhat densely packed, fashion mannequins inside.
There is a doorbell by the door, with a sign hanging below it that reads "Please ring the bell if you need anything".
"Is it outside of opening hours?" Ai Cao asked casually.
Nana and Xia Moli exchanged a glance.
Nana stepped forward and pressed the doorbell on the side of the door.
She pressed the doorbell all the way down, but they didn't hear a sound.
After an eerie silence, the semi-transparent crystal door in front of them slowly opened.
“Let’s go in,” Nana said with a smile. She went in first, followed by Xia Moli, and then Ai Cao brought up the rear.
Nana's eyes flickered slightly.
As the door opened, she scanned the clothing store's interior. Nothing seemed amiss, and the information she had found about the store on the StarNet appeared normal…
The lights in the clothing store came on when Ai Cao stepped into the store.
The mugwort made my eyes squint.
The lights in the store were indeed on, but not all of them were lit.
The crystal lamps lit up sparsely, forming a new path in front of them.
Nana took a few steps in that direction and whispered, "There are stairs leading down."
The three of them followed the location of the crystal chandelier and walked inside. After several turns, they arrived at a staircase hidden in a corner of the wall.
A tall robot was leaning against the wall, slowly taking a drag of his cigarette.
Upon seeing the three, she gave a less-than-perfect smile on her metallic face: "Hello... 'Eves'."
