Chapter 24 The Last Girl in the Entire Universe (24)

Disguised as men, they successfully passed the two men at the auction entrance.

They entered a magnificent, golden hall. At the very front of the hall was a huge circular display stand, with passageways on either side leading to the back of the stand; in the center of the hall were thousands of empty seats.

Some of the seats closer to the front were even protected by private boxes.

Although there were gaps between the seats, there weren't many protective barriers.

Since they received the invitation on the way, they were taken to a location a little far from the booth.

Artemisia and Jasmine could sit down, so Nana half-squatted between them.

She is a robot, and here, there is no place for robots.

After waiting for a while, the seats around me gradually filled up.

The hall was filled with sounds and smells.

"It's time," Nana said softly.

As she spoke, the lights in the golden hall gradually dimmed. Only the lights on the display stands remained on, like stars in the night sky.

A man in a tuxedo walked onto the stage, and his holographic projection appeared simultaneously above the stage.

"Thank you all for attending this auction," he said. "Now, without further ado, please take a look at the items for auction!"

The man stepped aside. Several robots pushing flatbed carts came up on stage and placed the display stands and exhibits from the carts onto the circular display platform.

Although the men boasted about the items enthusiastically, the guests remained uninterested, and only a few made offers.

After that, apart from a glove that had been touched by "Eve" and sold for a relatively high price, the rest of the exhibits received a lukewarm response.

The man in the tuxedo gritted his teeth.

He waved to a robot backstage. The robot pushed a rectangular box covered with a thick curtain onto the booth.

As the robot moved the box down, his voice grew louder as he explained: "Many of you have probably heard of the next item up for auction."

"This is—"

With a passionate and impassioned tone, the robot lifted the curtain covering the box.

"The 'Bone of Adam,' capable of summoning souls from another world, which once fetched a high price at auction!" the man raised his voice, announcing loudly, "The starting bid for this item is—ten million star coins!"

Xia Moli pressed her hand to her chest.

On the display stand was a semi-transparent rectangular box. The gaps inside the box seemed to be shaped like a rib.

When she saw the rib, her heart started pounding uncontrollably.

That was the culprit who dragged her into this world, the one who made her experience everything—

Ai Cao gently pressed down on Xia Moli, whose emotions were fluctuating, and whispered, "Relax."

Xia Moli clenched her back teeth. Her voice sounded like it was being squeezed out from between her teeth: "I can't relax."

"She'll reply in five minutes," Nana whispered, standing beside them.

Both Ai Cao and Xia Moli knew who Nana meant by "she".

While they entered the site and waited for the "Bone of Adam," they continued to work with the robot to develop a more detailed plan.

If they don't want to be exposed to the enemy beforehand, they need to clear all life from the area. The robots will be responsible for sealing off all roads connecting this place to the outside world.

They didn't want to, and couldn't, let any of them escape.

The atmosphere in the Golden Hall was ignited by the semi-transparent rectangular box. Voices, some rough and some gentle, clamored one after another. They persistently offered new prices, completely disregarding the fact that the starting price of ten million star coins was already astronomical.

Their brains automatically filtered out those high-sounding compliments.

All they knew was that it was a machine that could summon women.

That's all I know.

The bidding is nearing its end. Although there are still many people bidding, their voices carry a hint of hesitation after the initial fervor.

Nana whispered, "The blockade is complete."

After entering the venue, Ai Cao's previously tense face broke into a smile.

“Finally, we can move around a bit, right?” she said.
