Chapter 7 The Last Girl in the Entire Universe (7)

The girl blinked her glass eyes slowly.

A clear smile appeared in her eyes: "I'm Nana, how can I help you?"

Xia Moli breathed a sigh of relief: "Didn't I delete them all...? Did you keep a backup?"

The girl moved her hands. Her upper arms and forearms were strangely folded in opposite directions, and then bent in the direction that humans usually fold.

She playfully jumped up and down. But clearly, she didn't understand the body's functions, and her head hit the ceiling with a dull thud.

Xia Moli covered her eyes.

Nana landed back on the ground and moved her ankles: "Thank you for bringing me out."

“…You’re welcome,” Xia Moli said. “You can thank Ai Cao in person later.”

"Is Artemisia the name of another lady?" Nana asked. "Madam, what is your name?"

“Yes,” Xia Moli said. “I am Xia Moli. It’s nice to meet you, Nana.”

Nana smiled, her eyes crinkling.

This is the first time she, as an AI, has had a real body. Although the algorithm calculates collisions based on her body and environment when she is holographically projected, those are not the same as the sensations provided by these sensors.

The sensor's sensations felt more realistic, which excited her.

"Are you still willing to teach Ai Cao Santai?" Xia Moli asked.

“Of course,” Nana said. “I’m very good at Sanda and boxing. I have a much larger training database than those male AIs.”

She winked playfully: "Otherwise, I would have deleted the database due to numerous complaints before the person who filled in my area of expertise left the company."

Xia Moli smiled.

She shook hands with Nana again and then led her around the various rooms of the warship. After they had walked around, they sat down in the living room to chat, and Ai Cao, who had a towel on her head, joined the conversation.

"Is this Nana?" she asked.

“Yes,” Xia Moli explained, “The unusual energy I felt at the time was Nana resonating with this body remotely.”

Sitting at the table, with bright eyes, Nana nodded vaguely as she put a compressed biscuit into her mouth.

"Is it okay to just eat this?" Ai Cao asked. "Won't it affect my health?"

“This is delicious,” Nana said.

She chewed the compressed biscuit slowly, a jolt of electricity flashing in her glassy eyes.

“I love sesame seeds,” she announced. “They smell so good, and I want to taste them when they’re made into a sauce.”

A restaurant robot quickly served a new dish—a small dish of peanut sauce.

Nana stuck her fingers into the peanut butter and then put them in her mouth.

“I like peanut butter,” she said.

Xia Moli and Ai Cao watched Nana sample various foods, but they were talking about completely different things.

"We should reach the jump point by this evening," Xia Moli said. "I've chosen a location that's very far from here. If all goes well, we should be in the new star system tonight."

"That's good." Ai Cao casually wrapped a towel around her neck. "What factors might have hindered things from going smoothly?"

“…The jump point.” Xia Moli sighed softly. “I don’t know if we can go directly through there. I heard that this jump point is controlled by the former star cluster commander, and no warship can leave without his permission.”

"But now the Star Cluster Leader has fallen from power?" Ai Cao chimed in.

Xia Moli nodded.

Nana, who had quickly created a large number of empty plates, interjected, "I've calculated a solution to this problem. Do you need it?"

The two humans looked at her.

Nana continued, "They kidnapped the current legion commander and ordered him to release him."

Ai Cao chuckled. She gently patted Nana's head and turned to ask Xia Moli, "How is it? Is it feasible?"

“I can indeed try to locate the current legion commander,” Xia Moli said. “Let me see the API addresses he’s been using for his recent online activities…”

Nana quickly recited a string of numbers: "...This is his current location." After a pause, she recited another string of numbers: "The target is currently moving. Requesting connection to the warship's control system for real-time positioning."

Artemisia exclaimed, "Wow, that's amazing!"

She mentally instructed the system: "Look at the other AIs, how come they are so much stronger than you?"

The system is playing dead and not speaking.

Xia Moli not only granted Nana the authority, but also the authority to control the central control system of the entire warship.

She and Ai Cao now have priority in controlling the warship and issuing orders, and Nana is next in line.

Nana cheered after receiving permission, then became serious again: "The StarNet interface of the target has been located in real time."

Next to the little girl Nana, the young woman Nana was also holographically projected.

Now she's not wearing a tight tank top and shorts, but a new outfit.

He wore a simple black vest that showed off his muscular arms; loose-fitting trousers and comfortable sneakers.

Ai Cao smiled and said, "What you're wearing now is much better than the one you wore before."

The woman, Nana, responded to the compliment with a smile: "Thank you, I like it very much too."

"I now also serve as the warship's intelligent butler, so if you have any daily needs, you can call 'Nana,' and I'll appear." She briefly explained her current role. "Shall we move to this location now?"

Xia Moli nodded: "Yes."

“Begin moving,” she said gently. She looked carefully at her new body with a gentle expression—the girl Nana also had a gentle expression.

They stared at each other for a few seconds.

“Perhaps that star commander has a potion that can enhance my form,” said the young Nana. “I found a paper from twenty years ago on the Star Network. The writing style is similar to that of the current legion commander, but it is named after the former legion commander.”

"The current legion commander also facilitated my birth."

"If you don't mind me using the word 'birth' to describe the process of my being produced."

“I don’t mind,” Ai Cao said. “You can continue.”

Nana continued, “If we were to use human terms to describe him, then the current legion commander is a despicable fellow. He’s been carrying out the ‘Second Eve’ plan behind the back of the former legion commander, and if the summoning fails, he’ll make my body the ‘Eve’.”

"But none of them expected that this time they would summon two women, whom they called 'Eves'. So he was in a hurry to destroy the previous evidence—that is, me."

“You gave my consciousness and body a second life,” she said. “Now I no longer have to force myself to feel that I am a woman, and therefore necessarily weaker than a man.”

Human emotions surfaced in those dark eyes.

"Can I call you Mom?" she asked.
