Chapter 9 The Last Girl in the Entire Universe (9)

The defenses of this artificial planet were weaker than Ai Cao had imagined.

They chose to enter through the smaller entrance on the planet. Even with the previous star cluster leader's setback, this entrance was only guarded by two people.

The only thing they had in common was that these guards also wore metal armor with sculpted abdominal muscles.

Nana jammed the guards' communication devices, while Ai Cao killed them all with her gun, and even took an extra spare gun, which she carried on Nana's back.

They entered the planet unharmed.

After walking across the long boardwalk and passageway, what comes into view is the hollowed-out inner layer of this planet.

“This planet is privately owned,” Nana said. “No civilians live here.”

The mugwort nodded.

The planet's inner walls are made of many metal-shelled buildings, with twinkling lights emanating from within.

But what attracted her most attention was the huge, seemingly floating metal sphere at the very center of the planet.

Data streams flashed in Nana's eyes.

She pointed to the floating metal sphere and said, "I've calculated the shortest route to the target location."

The system wailed in Ai Cao's mind: "My role has been stolen!"

Artemisia was cold and ruthless: "Yeah, if you don't work harder to help me upgrade my skills, I'll fire you and let Nana be the system."

The system hid in a corner and whimpered.

Ignoring the system, which wasn't very useful yet, Ai Cao quickly caught up with Nana.

Nana stopped in front of a building.

She looked up at the roof of the building: "Go upstairs from here."

"Go upstairs?" Ai Cao looked at the building in front of her that had no doors. "How do we go upstairs?"

From where she was standing, she estimated the building to be eighteen meters tall. In modern society, that would be a six-story building.

Nana bent her knees slightly and jumped up effortlessly.

She landed on the roof.

Ai Cao looked at her peeking out from the edge of the roof, then at the roof and herself.

“System, it’s time for you to shine,” Ai Cao said.

The system yelled, "I can only help men have children, not give you some kind of cheat code that lets you go to heaven and earth!"

"How useless," Ai Cao said disdainfully.

She waved to Nana, "Nana, I can't get up there, can you come down and help me?"

Nana shook her head: "I have your body data, you can come up."

The mugwort sighed.

She took a few steps back, then ran up to the building's wall. Her hands slipped on the metal surface, but she pushed off forcefully and jumped upwards.

After repeating this two or three times, she arrived at Nana's side without batting an eye.

“Look, you’ve made it up,” Nana said. “I planned the route with both of us in good physical condition.”

She walked to the edge of the roof on the other side of the building, jumped up, and landed steadily on the roof of another building.

Nana turned to look at the mugwort plant that had stopped in place: "It's not far, so it saves effort."

Ai Cao sighed again. She touched her hair, ran a couple of steps on the roof, and then jumped down.

"I haven't been this tired in a long time," Ai Cao complained with a grin. "Are you taking revenge on me? I don't think I have any grudge against you."

Nana's glass eyes flickered: "We have no grudge." Her expression was serious. "You wanted me to exercise to improve your physical condition, so I did."

The mugwort remained silent for a while.

She followed Nana and jumped across the gap between the rooftops again before saying, "Thank you."

Nana replied matter-of-factly, "You're welcome."

Ai Cao laughed: "You sound like a robot now."

Nana blinked and smiled. "This body was originally a robot, Artemisia." She raised her hand and pointed to a dimly lit area. "That's the path into the inner layer of the planet."

"I really want to fight," Ai Cao muttered, touching the gun handle.

She didn't want to keep playing hopscotch with a sense of crisis.

She was carried down from the roof by Nana.

The sneakers Nana was wearing seemed to have been specially adjusted to fit her body.

As Nana jumped down, the airbag cushioning in the sole of her shoe automatically deployed.

She landed lightly.

The mugwort she was holding like a princess was slowly lowered down by Nana, just like a feather.

"My goodness, she's so feminine!" Ai Cao exclaimed to the system. "You said back then... the original male lead of this world couldn't carry me?"

"The original male lead could hold her for nine seconds," the system corrected, "but she's too feminine."

Nana's shoes have returned to normal.

She gently shook her arm, took the gun off her neck, and skillfully chambered a bullet.

"Humans detected at the intersection ahead. Please prepare for a possible encounter," Nana said.

The intersection she mentioned was that dimly lit place. When she was on the rooftop, Ai Cao couldn't clearly see what it looked like there.

Now that she's closer, she realizes this is one of the few signs of wisdom men possess.

—While other parts of the planet's interior are dotted with lights, this place is dark.

It is an arched tunnel with a semi-circular upper part.

If an ordinary person were to wander into this place, their first instinct would probably be to investigate the brightly lit areas.

Unfortunately, they are not ordinary people.

Ai Cao responded. She also cocked her gun, grinned, and said, "Hmm, let's kill some people to warm up."

Nana nodded silently.

She quickly updated the action plan according to the current situation, and with the mugwort, she circled around from the guards' blind spot to behind them.

"We're supposed to be protecting our boss here, so why is the defense still so poor?" Ai Cao complained.
