The busy paper puppet attendants remained completely still.
Wang Juanli looked at the neatly arranged boxed meals in the food cart and urged them on anxiously.
"I need a boxed lunch, please give me one!"
The motionless mascot suddenly moved, and then its head slowly turned behind it. Finally, without moving its body, its paper-thin, eerie face turned 360 degrees and came face to face with Wang Juanli.
"Want to eat? Okay, I'll give you plenty."
Wang Juanli stared wide-eyed in horror. With a piercing scream, both of her ears were cut off by the flight attendant and stuffed into her lunchbox.
The bloody ear spread on the rice was so gruesome that it terrified Shen An'an behind her.
"ah--!!"
She screamed and backed away, slamming the carriage door shut and running away.
Everyone witnessed this scene, and now, no one dared to enter the first-class carriage.
Shen An'an huddled in the corner, looking like she was going crazy.
"How could this happen...her ears, her ears were..."
Le Xin sat there, speaking indifferently.
"The rules clearly state that you should not disturb the busy flight attendants."
Shen An'an was still in shock. If she hadn't lost to Wang Juanli, she would have been the one with her ear cut off!
The intense fear temporarily suppressed the hunger in my stomach.
But this can't go on forever; we can't just sit here and starve to death.
Just then, Gao Linjun stared at Jin Shu with a complicated expression.
Why didn't you remind her?
"What reminder?"
Gao Linjun's tone rose, and his voice trembled.
"Isn't she your best friend? You knew it was dangerous to disturb the flight attendant, so why didn't you warn her?"
Jin Shu scoffed.
"Then let me ask you, why didn't you remind her?"
"I... I'm not an experienced player, how would I know there would be danger!"
Why didn't you go buy a boxed lunch?
"Ladies first. Even if I'm starving, I won't fight with a girl for food. I don't think you need to doubt my character!"
Jin Shu smiled.
"You're starving, why aren't you in line? You're almost starving, yet you're sitting here with your big butt sticking out without moving. Everyone knows what you're up to."
Kindness can be faked.
But if you overdo it, you'll just become annoying.
The usually gentle and good-tempered Gao Linjun was rendered speechless by Jin Shu's outburst, his face turned purplish-blue, and his gaze towards Jin Shu became even more fierce.
Le Xin, who had always kept to himself and remained aloof, stared coldly at Jin Shu when he saw the person he liked being bullied like this.
"If you don't like us, then change your seat and don't sit with us. If you're so capable, leave this game on your own, don't have the nerve to stick around us!"
Upon hearing this, Jin Shu immediately smiled.
"I can tolerate a few flies buzzing around my ear. What? I can't just throw my house away because there are a few cockroaches, can I?"
"Jin Shu, how come I never noticed how eloquent you are before? You weren't switched by those inhuman monsters the moment you got on the bus, were you?"
Unable to win an argument with Jin Shu, Le Xin resorted to drastic measures, pushing Jin Shu to the brink of destruction.
One or two of the people present were not only starving and panicked, but after witnessing the terrifying ghosts on the tram, they were even more apprehensive and paranoid.
Seeing that his words had an effect, Le Xin glanced at Xiao Pai and then spoke earnestly.
"Xiao Pai, are you sure you still want to sit with her?"
Xiao Pai was a little apprehensive, but still felt that Le Xin's words were baseless.
But what Le Xin said next made him panic.
"Look at her, she's clearly a veteran player, yet she just stands by and watches Wang Juanli go to her death. What's the use of you following her? She'll still use you as a shield when it really matters!"
Moreover, veteran players are most familiar with the game; they know better than anyone when you need to take a bullet. Once that happens, it won't be so easy for you to leave.
As soon as he finished speaking, Xiao Pai silently stood up, glanced hesitantly at Jin Shu, and then moved to the opposite seat.
Just as he was about to sit down, Jin Shu across from him casually said something.
"Rule No. 6: Please do not change seats arbitrarily."
Xiao Pai, whose bottom was almost touching the seat, suddenly felt as if countless sharp thorns had sprouted from the chair, instantly making him jump up. He turned his head in horror to look at the seat in front of him, panting heavily, his heart pounding, clutching his chest like a critically ill patient who had been deprived of oxygen.
He practically scrambled back to his spot, and the moment he sat down, his heart finally settled.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the sliding door of the carriage not far away had opened at some point, and right there in the sliding door, the paper puppet attendant was smiling at him with its standard paper figure, its empty hand-drawn eyes staring at him without moving.
My heart jumped into my throat.
The thought of what would have happened to me if I had actually sat down was unbearable!
"Lexin!! What the hell do you mean?! You motherfucker, you're trying to get me killed!!"
Having barely escaped with his life, Xiao Pai cursed at Le Xin without any restraint, his eyes fierce and ferocious, filled with hatred.
Le Xin's face stiffened. It was the first time in her life that someone had pointed their finger at her and cursed her, making her feel utterly humiliated.
"Watch your mouth! I'm not a veteran player, how could I possibly remember so many rules!"
Jin Shu raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Yeah, you're not a veteran player, so where do you get the confidence to get everyone to team up with you?"
After saying this, Shen An'an, who had just been hiding in the corner trembling, walked directly in front of Jin Shu.
She didn't dare change seats, so she could only kneel in front of her, her fair face already covered in tears.
"Jin Shu, please help me. I have to leave here. I need to see my mother one last time. Waaah... Please, Jin Shu, please."
Looking at the faint sneer on Le Xin's lips, he exuded an air of detached indifference, as if he had seen through the secrets of the world.
Jin Shu smiled and looked at Shen An'an.
"Then you'd better listen to me carefully."
Shen An'an simply held up two fingers.
"I swear to God, I will do whatever you ask me to do from now on, and I will never doubt or deny you!"
Le Xin, standing to the side, laughed and made sarcastic remarks.
"Don't be so sure of yourself. Would you go if she sent you to your death?" (End of Chapter)
