"You must be starving to get up so late."
Qiao Xin quickly instructed Aunt Li to serve the dishes while comforting her daughter.
"If you encounter something like this again, tell us as soon as possible. Although our Ai family is not extremely wealthy, we are not easy to bully."
For the first time, Ai Li felt the love and protection of her parents, and tears of emotion streamed down her face.
"mom……"
Qiao Xin slapped her, "Eat up, you're just here to collect a debt."
Ai Li wiped away her tears, picked up her bowl, and began to eat.
Xiao Li glanced at the breakfast and saw boiled eggs, pretzel buns, dragon fruit, and a small handful of nuts. It was a fairly standard breakfast.
This is a recipe left by Bai Ying, so that the kitchen can follow it.
"Mom, I'm hungry."
Ai Li finished the food in a few bites; the amount wasn't even enough to fill a gap between her teeth.
Qiao Xin felt sorry for her daughter when she saw her eyes filled with tears.
"Eat, eat, eat! Look at your body, you've gotten so fat, you can barely walk."
Ai Li stopped talking, but she was really hungry.
Qiao Xin was genuinely concerned about the food, so she asked Aunt Li to bring out some more dishes. This time, Aunt Li brought out several plates of substantial dishes.
Chicken drumsticks, braised pork knuckles, lean meat porridge, and a plate of steamed buns.
Xiao Li frowned. How could she lose weight if she ate like this?
Xiao Li used a hand seal to block Ai Li's sense of taste.
Ai Li picked up the chicken leg and started gnawing on it. She hadn't eaten chicken legs in a long time, and it smelled so good.
Huh? What's going on? Why doesn't it smell?
She took two more bites, but found it tasted like chewing wax and was awful.
But she was still very hungry, so she looked at the chicken leg and put it down.
Then I picked up the bowl of lean meat porridge and slurped down a big bowl of it. At least I had something in my stomach before I put the bowl down.
Qiao Xin quickly asked them to remove the food, saying it would be better to eat less.
"Xiao Li, there's no coach here, so you can't eat too much. We'll hire another coach later."
Ai Li thought of Bai Ying's disgusted expression and bravely voiced her thoughts.
"Mom, I don't want a coach anymore. I can manage on my own. I will train on my own."
She refused to believe that she couldn't lose weight without a coach.
Qiao Xin sighed. Her eldest daughter had become even more introverted since she gained weight.
She doesn't like meeting strangers, never goes shopping, and never attends gatherings with her peers. She's almost 20 and doesn't know if she'll ever be able to get married.
"Then you can exercise on your own. If you get hungry, just tell Aunt Li to prepare something for you..."
She frowned as she said this.
Ai Li quickly chimed in, "Mom, I won't eat anymore. I can manage."
Qiao Xin smiled with relief. Her daughter had made progress and knew how to control her diet, which was the only way to successfully lose weight.
"Okay, Mom believes you."
Ai Li chatted with Qiao Xin for a while before going upstairs to continue training.
She first walked slowly for half an hour, then did leg kicks, squats, jumping jacks... switching back and forth.
The Ai family has a gym with lots of equipment, but Ai Li is too fat and it's not convenient for her to use it, so she doesn't use the equipment to exercise.
Currently, the only thing she can use is the treadmill for slow walking.
Just an hour later, Ai Li's stomach rumbled; she was hungry.
Her eyes glanced at the tea table next to her and she noticed two tender green cucumbers on it.
She couldn't stand up anymore, so she slowly shuffled over, grabbed a cucumber, and started eating it.
The cucumbers were quite crisp, still carrying the fresh, green flavor of just being picked; they were so refreshing.
Ai Li found that after eating cucumbers, she wasn't so hungry anymore, so she got up and continued training.
Finally, it was noon. Ai Li washed up and went downstairs to eat.
In front of her was still the diet meal that Aunt Li had specially prepared.
Chicken breast meatballs, boiled broccoli, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, buckwheat noodles, and unsweetened sparkling water.
This was her lunch today. Aunt Li's cooking skills were excellent, and the simple dishes were delicious, but the portions were too small. Ai Li almost licked the plate clean after finishing her meal.
Aunt Li looked at Ai Li with pity. This small portion was far from enough to satisfy her appetite. Little Li would be hungry again.
Sure enough, not long after Ai Li went upstairs, her stomach started growling.
Her eyes involuntarily drifted to the tea table, where a plate appeared, containing an enormous chicken leg.
Wow, it smells so good!
Ai Li looked around and saw that no one was coming. She tried to control herself, but she was so hungry that she couldn't resist.
She didn't know how she got to the tea table. When she came to her senses, she was already holding a chicken leg and had taken a bite.
"Awoo..."
It was so delicious! Tender, juicy, and flavorful; I almost swallowed my tongue.
She finished the chicken leg quickly and guiltily threw the bones into the trash can.
"I will definitely train harder and reduce all the food I eat."
