Wang Hongguang was stunned. "I'm going to be a father? Is this for real?"
Xiao Li nodded. If she hadn't been pregnant, she probably would have taken the college entrance exam too.
But she didn't want to go to school while pregnant; it was too hard for her.
Moreover, she didn't subconsciously want to take the college entrance exam. She had seen that era in her dreams, where there were many opportunities in life, and success wasn't limited to going to school.
Wang Hongguang burst into laughter. He wanted to hug Xiaoli but was afraid of hurting her, so he could only spin around in place.
Wang Hongguang stuffed the money into Xiaoli's hand, "Wife, keep it to buy good food. I'll earn more money for you in the future."
Xiao Li then accepted the money, and said with a smile, "I gave you a chance, but you didn't leave on your own. Now you can forget about leaving."
Only then did Wang Hongguang realize that he had passed the test. If he had hesitated even for a moment and had even the slightest thought of returning to the city, he probably would never have known he was a father in his lifetime.

Wang Hongguang grinned again, preparing to learn how to cook, since he would be taking care of his wife in the future and couldn't let her get tired.
Xiao Li was very willing to teach him. Once he could cook, she would have an easier time, since she felt nauseous at the smell of cooking oil.
Wang Hongguang had absolutely no talent for cooking. Even though he followed Xiaoli's instructions exactly, the food he made just didn't taste right.
Xiao Li tried to teach him, but he still made it taste terrible, and Xiao Li was so angry that she cried.
"Waaaah... I want to eat sesame seed cakes, noodles with soybean paste, dried anchovies, and big steamed buns..."
Wang Hongguang frantically tried to comfort her, saying, "Wife, don't cry, I'll go buy it right away."
As Li Meiling entered through the door, she heard a commotion inside.
"What's wrong?"
Wang Hongguang cried out as if he had seen a savior, “Mom, come quick! Xiao Li wants to eat sesame seed cakes and noodles with soybean paste, but I’m not good at cooking, so she’s crying.”
Li Meiling looked at her daughter with amusement, "You little glutton, tell Mom what you want to eat, and Mom will make it for you."
Xiao Li didn't know why she had become so sentimental. She knew very well that she shouldn't be like this, but the tears just kept falling.

Xiao Li cried for a while and felt much better. Now she felt a little embarrassed.
Li Meiling started packing her things. She had Wang Hongguang carry some of the food from the kitchen over, leaving the rest at home to keep as a reserve, to be used later when it was all gone.
We also packed up some vegetables that don't keep well and took them over.
Seeing that Xiaoli was still sitting, he urged her to hurry up.
"Honey, what are you still sitting there for? Come eat with me."
She originally came to invite the two of them over for dinner, and now she can conveniently bring the food with her.
Xiao Li stood up, locked the door, and headed to the Meng family's house.
Upon entering the Meng family home, they learned that Meng Xiaofei had arrived. Knowing that her younger sister and brother-in-law were preparing for exams, she had specially brought some food.
Xiao Li felt an overwhelming maternal instinct whenever she saw a baby, so she went over to tease Meng Xiaofei’s niece, Guo Guo, who was in her arms.
Guoguo has very fair skin and is chubby, which shows that she is well-fed.
"Guoguo is so pretty, she looks like my older sister."
Zhou Wu, the brother-in-law standing next to him, immediately objected.
"Second sister, look again carefully. Everyone says you look like me."
Xiao Li had no choice but to take a closer look. "Hmm, it does look a lot like you. The eyebrows and eyes are like yours, but the mouth and nose are like my sister's."
Zhou Wu was finally satisfied, and Meng Xiaofei smiled as she placed the child into Xiao Li's arms.
