After the banquet, Lin Qian walked out of the venue with a cold expression. The night breeze gently ruffled her hair, but her eyes remained icy. The streetlights cast a long, slender shadow on her, making her appear lonely and resolute.

She spoke casually, "Jingchen, I met someone at the banquet today who made me feel uneasy." Her voice, though she tried to remain calm, trembled slightly, revealing her inner unease. Her eyes darted around, and her fingers unconsciously tugged at the hem of her dress.
Lu Jingchen was sitting on the sofa flipping through a financial magazine when he heard Shen Mengyao's words. He looked up, a hint of doubt in his eyes, and asked, "Who is it?" His gaze lingered on Shen Mengyao for a moment before returning to the magazine.
