The Prime Minister and his wife were discussing matters in the hall, their expressions serious, seemingly debating important issues concerning the fate of their family. The hall was elegantly and solemnly furnished, with calligraphy and paintings on the walls adding a touch of culture. Hearing footsteps, they looked up, and upon seeing Lin Qian, their faces showed concern.
"Father, Mother," Lin Qian called softly. Her voice trembled slightly, and her eyes were filled with complex emotions. Those emotions were like a tangled mess, interwoven with guilt, reluctance, and gratitude. She slowly walked to the Prime Minister and his wife, each step seeming so heavy, as if the ground beneath her feet weighed a ton.
The Prime Minister's wife hurried to Lin Qian's side, took her hand, and her eyes were filled with worry. Her hand trembled slightly, conveying her unease. "Qian'er, why are you here? Has something happened?" Her voice was tinged with anxiety, her eyes fixed on Lin Qian, as if trying to find the answer in her gaze.
Lin Qian walked up to them and slowly said, "Father, Mother, there are some things I want to tell you. Actually, from the moment I woke up, I knew I wasn't your biological daughter." Her eyes darted away, avoiding the Prime Minister and his wife's gaze. Her fingers unconsciously twisted the hem of her dress, which was now slightly deformed, revealing her inner tension and unease.
Upon hearing this, the Prime Minister and his wife showed expressions of shock. They exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with disbelief. The Prime Minister's wife asked in a trembling voice, "Qian'er, what about our daughter..." Her voice held a hint of expectation mixed with fear; she didn't know if she could bear the answer.
Lin Qian took a deep breath and said, "Father, Mother, I want to ask, if I leave, will your daughter be able to come back?" Her eyes were full of expectation, hoping to get a positive answer.
The Prime Minister looked at Lin Qian, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. He was silent for a moment, then said, "Qian'er, we have always treated you as our own daughter. No matter what, we hope you can be happy. As for our daughter, if there is a chance, we certainly hope she can come back." His voice was deep and strong, filled with love for Lin Qian and longing for his own daughter.
Lin Qian was deeply moved; she knew the Prime Minister and his wife's love for her was genuine. She turned to 003 and asked, "003, can we use points to bring the original female lead back?"
003 remained silent for a long time, a hint of hesitation flashing in his eyes. Then he said, "Master, this will cost a lot of points. Are you sure you want to do this?" His voice carried a trace of worry; he knew this was a difficult decision for Lin Qian.
Lin Qian said firmly, "I'm sure." There was no hesitation in her eyes; she knew this was what she had to do. She couldn't let the Prime Minister and his wife lose their daughter because of her own selfishness.
Upon hearing Lin Qian's words, the Prime Minister and his wife were moved. The Prime Minister's wife took Lin Qian's hand and said, "Qian'er, you are such a good child." Her voice was choked with emotion, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Lin Qian looked at the Prime Minister and his wife, her heart filled with reluctance. She knew this might be the last time she saw them. She said, "Father, Mother, thank you for your love and care. I will always remember you." Her voice carried a trace of sorrow, a sorrow that surged into her heart like a tide, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
After leaving the Prime Minister's residence, Lin Qian's mood grew even heavier. She knew her time was running out, and she had to settle A Luo's affairs as soon as possible. She arrived at A Luo's residence, and A Luo's face lit up with surprise and joy when she saw her.
"Miss, what brings you here?" A'Luo asked.
Lin Qian looked at A Luo, her heart filled with reluctance. She told A Luo the whole story, and A Luo's eyes were filled with shock and reluctance.
"Miss, do you really have to leave?" A'Luo asked, her voice trembling with a hint of tears.
Lin Qian patted A Luo's head and said, "A Luo, there's nothing we can do about it. You need to take good care of yourself from now on."
A Luo held Lin Qian's hand tightly, tears streaming down her face: "Miss, I can't bear to part with you."
Lin Qian hugged A Luo and whispered, "A Luo, I'm also reluctant to part with you, but I believe you will be strong."
For the next two days, Lin Qian was busy accompanying the Prime Minister and his wife and arranging A'Luo's future. She found a reliable person and entrusted A'Luo to his care. She also left A'Luo some money and clothes, hoping she could live a stable life.
The dawn of the third day, like a thin veil, gently enveloped every corner of the Prime Minister's residence. Sunlight streamed through the window lattices, casting golden dappled patterns on the floor. The original owner slowly opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was the tear-streaked face of her parents. She was momentarily disoriented; fragments of memory, like shattered mirrors, reflected different lights, making it difficult for her to piece together a complete picture.
Early in the morning, the Prime Minister and his wife, filled with trepidation and anticipation, hurried towards their daughter's room. Their steps were slightly rushed, their eagerness evident. The door to the room slowly opened, and a faint fragrance wafted out—the familiar scent of their daughter.
The original owner of this body slowly woke up from her sleep, her eyes initially somewhat dazed, as if she wasn't fully awake. When her gaze fell upon her parents sitting beside her, their eyes filled with tears, she froze, an expression of disbelief appearing on her face.
"Father, Mother..." the original owner called softly, her voice trembling slightly, her eyes filled with doubt and surprise.
Upon hearing this call, the Prime Minister and his wife burst into tears like a flood. Their throats choked with emotion, and they managed a weak reply: "Alas!"
