Chapter 32: Educated Youth Sent Down to the Countryside (31)

Wang Guifang awkwardly walked into the room, trying to ease the atmosphere: "It's nothing, you guys go ahead and eat, don't worry about me."

The eldest daughter-in-law rolled her eyes at her and said sarcastically, "What else could it be? It's just that your loose tongue has been spreading rumors everywhere, and now they've come knocking on our door!"

Wang Guifang didn't dare to talk back. She silently walked to the table, picked up a steamed bun, and nibbled on it in small bites, feeling extremely remorseful.

“That’s right, that’s right. But Lin Qian is really something, a young lady like her daring to make such a fuss.” Another villager chimed in.

"Hmph, maybe she's just feeling guilty!" a rather unfriendly voice rang out.

"Don't talk nonsense, there's no evidence to back it up," someone retorted.
