003 said, "That's right, host. We must make her pay for her actions."
Lin Qian and 003 closely monitored Su Yao and Li Ergou's every move, waiting for the right moment to deliver a heavy blow.
Just as Lin Qian was about to go to work in the fields, 003 suddenly said in her mind: "Host, Su Yao is up to her tricks again. She tricked you into going to a remote corner outside the village, saying that she had something important to tell you. I don't think she has good intentions."
Lin Qian sneered: "With Su Yao's scheme, I can't outmaneuver anyone without cooperating with her. Sigh."
Despite knowing it might be a trap, Lin Qian decided to go see what Su Yao was up to. When she arrived at the secluded corner, it was quiet all around, with only the rustling of the grass in the breeze. Li Ergou had been waiting there for a long time, hiding behind a large tree, his eyes revealing a sinister aura.
Just as Lin Qian and Su Yao arrived there, Li Ergou suddenly jumped out from behind a tree and blocked Lin Qian's path.
"Lin Qian, long time no see!" Li Ergou grinned lewdly, his eyes roaming over Lin Qian, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.
Lin Qian frowned, looking at him with disgust: "Li Ergou, what do you want to do?"
Li Ergou approached Lin Qian step by step, saying some filthy things: "Hey, Lin Qian, what do you think I want to do? We're out in the middle of nowhere, we need to find some fun!"
Lin Qian tried to resist, struggling to break free from Li Ergou's grasp: "Let me go! You scoundrel!"
But Li Ergou gripped her arm tightly, with such strength that Lin Qian couldn't break free. He tried to pull Lin Qian towards him: "Hehe, don't struggle, just obediently submit to me!"
Just then, Su Yao appeared not far away with Zhao Yu. She deliberately shouted loudly, "Hey, what are you doing?" Her voice sounded particularly jarring in the quiet evening.
Hearing the noise, Zhao Yu rushed over. When he saw Lin Qian and Li Ergou entangled together, a surge of anger rose within him. His face darkened, his eyes filled with rage and disappointment: "Lin Qian, how could you be with someone like that?"
Lin Qian hurriedly explained, "Zhao Yu, it's not what you see. It was Li Ergou who suddenly appeared and stopped me!"
Su Yao, however, added fuel to the fire, saying, "Lin Qian, you're still trying to deny it. I saw it with my own eyes. You and Li Ergou were so intimate. What else do you have to say?"
Lin Qian glared angrily at Su Yao: "Su Yao, you're deliberately framing me!"
At this moment, Li Ergou was still holding Lin Qian's arm tightly, a smug smile on his face. He knew that he had completed half of his mission.
At this moment, Li Ergou said to Su Yao, "Su Yao, this is not a good matter. Lin Qian is too shrewish. I got hit by her several times. You have to give me more money, otherwise this matter will not be over!"
Su Yao's expression changed. She hadn't expected Lin Qian to resist and even hit Li Ergou. She lowered her voice and said to Li Ergou, "Don't talk nonsense. You'll get your share of the benefits if things go well. Now, let's stabilize the situation first."
Li Ergou persisted, saying, "No, I've suffered such a huge loss, I have to pay more, or I'll tell Zhao Yu the truth!"
Zhao Yu looked at the three of them, his heart filled with doubt and anger. His gaze darted back and forth between Lin Qian, Su Yao, and Li Ergou, trying to sort out the chaotic situation.
Zhao Yu recalled a childhood memory of witnessing a seemingly kind person commit despicable acts behind the scenes, an event that instilled in him a deep skepticism about human nature. The scene before him now reminded him of that past experience.
He looked at Su Yao, and some doubts began to creep into his heart. He wasn't entirely unaware of Su Yao's hostility towards Lin Qian, but he chose to believe Su Yao's explanation, thinking it was just a minor conflict between girls. But now, watching the exchange of glances between Su Yao and Li Ergou, and their seemingly unspoken conversation, Zhao Yu began to suspect that all of this might be a carefully orchestrated conspiracy by Su Yao.
Zhao Yu looked at Lin Qian again. The anger and grievance in Lin Qian's eyes were so real that it made him waver slightly. He recalled the bits and pieces of his time with Lin Qian. He actually knew Lin Qian's character quite well; she wasn't the kind of person who would get entangled with people casually.
Zhao Yu was torn. He didn't want to believe that Su Yao was such a scheming and ruthless person, but the signs before him made it impossible for him to completely ignore his suspicions. He didn't know how to face this situation, or whose words to believe.
Zhao Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He decided to listen to their explanations before making a judgment. He looked at Su Yao and said in a low voice, "Su Yao, what exactly happened?"
Su Yao's eyes reddened, tears welling up, her voice trembling with grievance: "Brother Zhao Yu, listen to me, I really didn't know it would turn out like this. I just came here to find my things, I never expected to see this scene, I was terrified!" Her eyes were pitiful, as if she had suffered a great injustice.
Lin Qian sneered, broke free from Li Ergou's hand, walked up to him, and stared at him coldly: "Li Ergou, tell me, who ordered you to do this?"
Li Ergou felt a little guilty, his eyes darting away from Lin Qian, and he stammered, "I...I..."
Lin Qian raised her voice: "Speak! Otherwise, you'll be sorry!"
Li Ergou was intimidated by Lin Qian's imposing manner. He glanced at Su Yao, then at Lin Qian, and finally decided to tell the truth: "It was...it was Su Yao who made me do it. She gave me money and told me to..."
