Chapter 39 The Concubine's Daughter Cultivates Immortality 9

Master Qingyun nodded in satisfaction, then turned and led Lin Qian and the other disciples who had chosen the Alchemy Peak away from the main hall.

The group followed Daoist Qingyun to the Alchemy Peak. The peak soared into the clouds, shrouded in mist, mysterious and solemn. Various spiritual plants grew on the mountain, their colorful flowers blooming in profusion, filling the air with fragrance. The air was thick with a rich spiritual energy, bringing joy to both body and mind.

Lin Qian followed the crowd, curiously looking around. The Alchemy Peak was even more magnificent than she had imagined, brimming with spiritual energy. Amidst the swirling clouds and mist, several ancient pavilions could be vaguely seen, and she wondered what rare treasures they might be hiding.

An older disciple led them to a row of bamboo houses, pointed to one of them and said to Lin Qian, "You can stay in this one. Settle in and we'll meet at the square later."

Lin Qian pushed open the door and entered. A faint fragrance of herbs wafted into her nostrils. Although the room was small, it was clean and tidy. On the table was a brand-new set of alchemy clothes and an exquisite medicine cauldron.

Upon arriving at the plaza, all the other disciples were already there, gathered in small groups, whispering amongst themselves. Lin Qian noticed a man in white robes among the crowd, possessing an ethereal air and extraordinary handsomeness, like a banished immortal, attracting the attention of many.

"That's our senior brother, Xiao Jinghuai." A female disciple nearby noticed Lin Qian staring at the man in white and leaned over to whisper, "I heard he's incredibly talented. He successfully established his foundation in less than three years after entering the sect. He's a genius that our Alchemy Peak sees only once in a hundred years!"

Lin Qian was somewhat surprised. Foundation Establishment was a threshold on the path of cultivation. She hadn't expected that this senior brother had already broken through at such a young age. No wonder he was so popular.

Elder Xuan Yan, the peak master of Danfeng, was an elderly man with white hair and a youthful face, and a vigorous spirit. He wore a fiery red Daoist robe, embroidered with lifelike flame patterns in gold thread, and a belt made of an unknown jade stone was tied around his waist, which further accentuated his otherworldly demeanor.

He walked with his hands behind his back to the center of the square, his gaze slowly sweeping over the group of new disciples before him, his eyes filled with anticipation.

"Welcome to Alchemy Peak. From this day forward, you are disciples of Alchemy Peak." His voice was deep and powerful, carrying an imposing aura that echoed throughout the entire plaza.

"Here, you will learn the art of alchemy and explore the mysteries of cultivation." Elder Xuan Yan paused, his sharp gaze seemingly piercing through each and every one of you. "The path of alchemy is vast and profound, requiring you to possess patience, perseverance, and wisdom."

His gaze lingered on the crowd for a moment before finally settling on Lin Qian. A meaningful smile appeared on his lips. "I hope you will study diligently, make continuous progress, and contribute to the development of Alchemy Peak."

Lin Qian returned to her residence, a simple yet tidy room, its furnishings plain yet practical. She gently put down her bag and began tidying up. She carefully wiped the table and windowsill, making the bed neatly. After finishing, Lin Qian sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes revealing determination and contemplation. She knew that her current cultivation level was only at the second level of Qi Refining, merely an insignificant starting point on the path of cultivation. Foundation Establishment was a much higher realm, and she still had a long way to go. Thinking of this, Lin Qian frowned. She understood that in this dog-eat-dog world of cultivation, strength was the foundation of survival. Only by quickly improving her strength could she gain a foothold in this world and have the opportunity to pursue her goals. "003, is there any treasure that can help me cleanse my marrow and refine my meridians?" Lin Qian asked in her heart.

"Host, I have a treasure here called 'Spiritual Marrow Liquid'," 003 replied. "This Spiritual Marrow Liquid is refined from a variety of rare spiritual materials and has a powerful effect of cleansing the marrow and refining the meridians. After taking it, it can eliminate impurities from the body, widen the meridians, and increase cultivation speed. The Spiritual Marrow Liquid is a light blue liquid with a faint fragrance. Each time you take it, simply drink it directly and then circulate your cultivation technique to fully unleash its medicinal effects."

"Spiritual Marrow Liquid? Sounds amazing! Quick, 003, let me see it!" Lin Qian's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this, and she urged 003 impatiently.

A delicate little jade bottle appeared out of thin air in Lin Qian's palm. The jade bottle was crystal clear, emitting a soft, faint light. A small talisman was tied to the mouth of the bottle with a red string. Intricate patterns were drawn on the talisman, which faintly exuded a mysterious aura.

Lin Qian uncorked the bottle, and a refreshing fragrance wafted out, soothing her senses. The bottle contained half a bottle of pale blue liquid, which shimmered with starlight under the candlelight, as if it contained boundless energy.

"This thing... could it be some kind of culinary disaster that will make you explode and die if you drink it?" Lin Qian looked at the strangely colored liquid and couldn't help but feel uneasy.

"Host, please rest assured, this Spirit Essence Liquid is absolutely safe and reliable, no deception whatsoever!" 003 assured confidently, "Anything produced by this system is guaranteed to be of the highest quality!"

"Alright, I'll trust you this once." Lin Qian gritted her teeth, tilted her head back, and drank the Spirit Marrow Liquid in one gulp.

The Spirit Marrow Liquid tasted slightly sweet with a hint of coolness. It slowly flowed down her throat and into her stomach, instantly transforming into a powerful energy that coursed through Lin Qian's limbs and bones.

"Hiss... It's so hot!" Lin Qian felt as if her body was being burned by flames. Her meridians contracted violently, and a piercing pain swept over her, making her gasp involuntarily.

"Host, quickly circulate your cultivation technique and guide the medicinal power!" 003's voice rang in Lin Qian's mind.

Lin Qian endured the excruciating pain, sat cross-legged, and silently recited the incantation of the cultivation technique, guiding the raging energy within her body to circulate along specific meridians.

Time passed second by second, and Lin Qian felt her body getting hotter and hotter, as if she were in a furnace, her clothes soaked with sweat.

Just when Lin Qian was about to give up, a cool sensation suddenly rose from her dantian and quickly spread throughout her body. The burning pain subsided and was replaced by an indescribable comfort.

Lin Qian felt much lighter, as if a thousand-pound burden had been lifted, and her whole body was filled with strength. She slowly opened her eyes, a glint of light flashing in them.

"Congratulations, host, you have successfully broken through to the third level of Qi Refining!" 003's voice was full of joy.

"You broke through so quickly?" Lin Qian felt the abundant spiritual energy within her body, and a surprised smile appeared on her face. "This Spirit Marrow Liquid is indeed a good thing!"

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Lin Qian asked, getting up.

"Junior Sister Lin, it's me, Senior Brother." A gentle and refined voice came from outside the door.

Lin Qian was startled. Why would her senior brother, Xiao Jinghuai, come looking for her?
