Within the Qingyun Sect, soft sunlight bathed the secluded paths, and a gentle breeze carried the sweet fragrance of flowers and grass. Lin Shiyun, dressed in a long pink dress, possessed a graceful figure and beautiful face, yet her eyes revealed a persistent glint. She wandered along the path with joy, her gaze frequently drifting towards its end, hoping to see Xiao Yichen. She was deeply in love with him and always sought opportunities to be near him, hoping to attract his attention.
Before long, Xiao Yichen's figure appeared at the end of the path. Lin Shiyun's face instantly lit up with a bright smile, and she happily hurried to greet him.
"Senior Brother Yichen, what a coincidence to meet you here," Lin Shiyun said sweetly, her voice containing a hint of barely perceptible anticipation.
Xiao Yichen frowned, a hint of helplessness on his face, and said, "Lin Shiyun, I've told you many times, I really don't have those feelings for you. Don't waste your time on me." His tone was somewhat weary.
Lin Shiyun seemed not to hear Xiao Yichen's words, and continued to stay close to him, talking about trivial things: "Senior Brother Yichen, do you know? Today I saw an extremely beautiful flower, and I think it is as beautiful as you."
Xiao Yichen sighed helplessly, slowed his pace, and responded to Lin Shiyun as politely as possible: "Oh, really?"
Just then, Lin Shiyun noticed a small puddle nearby and an idea immediately formed in her mind. Pretending not to notice it, she walked straight towards it, then let out a cry of "Ouch!" and deliberately tripped and fell to the ground, splashing some water. She was hoping that Xiao Yichen would come to help her up, but Xiao Yichen had already seen through her intentions.
Xiao Yichen shook his head helplessly, but still stepped forward, stretched out his hand and said, "Get up, don't get your clothes dirty."
Taking the opportunity, Lin Shiyun grabbed Xiao Yichen's hand, stood up, her face flushed, and secretly delighted. She said softly, "Thank you, Senior Brother Yichen."
A few days later, Lin Shiyun learned that Xiao Yichen was going to attend an important event. She carefully prepared a gift, a precious jade pendant that was said to enhance spiritual power. She waited early on the road that Xiao Yichen was bound to take, and when she saw him approaching, she hurried to greet him, her eyes filled with anticipation.
"Senior Brother Yichen, this is a gift I specially prepared for you. I hope you like it." Lin Shiyun said, handing the gift to Xiao Yichen, her voice tinged with nervousness.
Xiao Yichen glanced at the gift, then at Lin Shiyun, and said gently, "Shiyun, I understand your intentions, but this gift is too valuable, I cannot accept it."
Lin Shiyun's smile froze slightly. Her hand holding the gift hung in mid-air, looking somewhat disappointed. She said reluctantly, "Senior Brother Yichen, I specially found this for you. Please accept it." The strange looks from the surrounding disciples made her feel a little uncomfortable.
However, Lin Shiyun did not give up. She secretly vowed to change Xiao Yichen's opinion of her and win his favor.
Lin Shiyun bit her lip, her eyes slightly red, her pitiful appearance drawing the attention of the surrounding disciples.
"Senior Brother Yichen, are you unhappy with the gift I gave you? I... I'll put more effort into preparing next time..." Lin Shiyun's voice was choked with sobs, and her eyes were full of grievance.
Xiao Yichen couldn't stand seeing girls cry. He rubbed his temples and said helplessly, "Shiyun, you've misunderstood. I just feel that this gift is too precious, and I feel unworthy of it."
Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a clear, cold voice: "Senior Brother Xiao, so you're here."

"Senior Sister Ye... Ye Lingxi." When Lin Shiyun saw Ye Lingxi, a hint of jealousy flashed in her eyes, but she quickly concealed it and put on a fake smile. "Greetings, Senior Sister."
Ye Lingxi ignored Lin Shiyun and walked straight to Xiao Yichen, handing him a jade pendant in her hand, saying indifferently, "I obtained this by chance, and I think it suits you quite well, so I'm giving it to you."
Xiao Yichen stared at the jade pendant in Ye Lingxi's hand, slightly taken aback. The jade pendant was crystal clear and emitted a faint halo, clearly not an ordinary item.

Ye Lingxi directly shoved the jade pendant into his hand, her tone leaving no room for refusal: "Take it, consider it a small token of my appreciation as your senior sister, don't be so wishy-washy."
"This..." Xiao Yichen wanted to say something more, but was interrupted by Ye Lingxi.
"What? Senior Brother Xiao, are you disrespecting me?" Ye Lingxi raised an eyebrow, her tone carrying a hint of danger, her eyes fixed on Xiao Yichen.
Helpless, Xiao Yichen accepted the jade pendant and said indifferently, "Then thank you very much, Senior Sister."
Ye Lingxi then curled her lips in satisfaction, glanced at Lin Shiyun, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes, and said contemptuously, "Some people, no matter how hard they try, it's all in vain."
Lin Shiyun watched this scene, her heart burning with rage. Her carefully prepared gift had been rejected by Xiao Yichen, while a jade pendant casually given by Ye Lingxi had been readily accepted. How could she possibly tolerate this?
