Chapter 8: Educated Youth Sent Down to the Countryside (7 years)

Lin Qian sat in the dimly lit room, moonlight streaming through the window and illuminating her face, revealing a resolute yet slightly cunning expression. She was going to the countryside tomorrow; this decision wasn't easy for her, but she had her own plans in mind.

In this family, the eldest sister's selfishness and the third brother's tyranny caused the original owner a lot of suffering. The eldest sister always took all the good things in the house for herself and treated the original owner like a servant.

The third brother, taking advantage of being the boy in the family, bullied the original owner in every way, stole her things, and often spoke ill of her in front of their parents, causing her great distress.

After Lin Qian arrived, she decided to teach the original owner's eldest sister and third brother a lesson and let them taste the bitterness.

So, a few days earlier, Lin Qian had taken advantage of her family's inattention to steal the household registration book and ran to the educated youth registration office to register the original owner's eldest sister and third brother as well.

Life in the countryside was so tough; the original owner shouldn't be the only one who experienced it.

Letting them experience this kind of life is a form of punishment for them. Lin Qian didn't tell anyone, including the original owner's parents; she wanted to keep this surprise until the very last moment.

The next morning, sunlight streamed into the courtyard, awakening the sleeping world. Lin Qian rose early, her eyes filled with unwavering determination and resolve, devoid of any hesitation. She quickly packed her belongings and then sat quietly to the side, awaiting her family's reaction.

Of course, we'll only leave after watching this great show!

Meanwhile, the eldest sister and third brother were still dreaming in their room, completely unaware that their fate was about to be changed. Lin Qian looked at their room and couldn't help but sneer.

She imagined their expressions when they learned that she would also be going to the countryside, and her heart was filled with anticipation.

Soon after, the notice to go to the countryside was delivered to their home. When Lin's mother heard the knock on the door and opened it to see the notice, her face instantly turned ashen. Her hands trembled as she held the notice, unable to believe her eyes.

"What's going on? Why are your eldest sister and third brother also going to the countryside?" Lin's mother asked Lin Qian in a panic, her voice trembling slightly.

Lin Qian pretended to be unaware, walked over to look at the notice, and then feigned surprise, saying, "I don't know either, it's probably an arrangement from above." A hint of smugness flashed in her eyes, but she quickly concealed it.

The eldest sister and third brother, awakened by the commotion, heard their mother's exclamation. Still half-asleep, they came out to find out what had happened. When they saw the name on the notice, they were stunned, as if struck by lightning, and stood frozen in place.

"How could this be? I don't want to go to the countryside!" the older woman screamed, her voice sharp and piercing, filled with anger and fear.

She couldn't accept this fact. Going to the countryside meant leaving her comfortable home and living in a strange and harsh place, something she had never imagined.

Third Brother also said angrily, "Someone must be framing us! Who is it? Lin Qian, did you do it?" He looked at Lin Qian suspiciously, his eyes filled with hostility.

"It must have been that bitch Lin Qian who did it! She just can't stand to see us doing well, she deliberately framed us!" The eldest sister cursed wildly, rushing towards Lin Qian, "I'm going to tear your mouth apart and make you stop talking nonsense!"

Third Brother roared angrily, "Lin Qian, you vicious woman! It's not enough that you went to the countryside yourself, you have to drag us down with you! I won't let you get away with this!"

Lin Qian looked at him without fear and said, "Third Brother, don't wrong me. I'm a victim too. I also want to go to the countryside." Her tone was calm, but her eyes revealed a firm strength.

Hearing her third brother's words, the eldest sister also turned her anger towards Lin Qian: "It must be you, you bitch, who did this! You're just jealous that we're doing well at home and want to get revenge on us!" She rushed over to hit Lin Qian, but Lin Qian nimbly dodged.

She said coldly, "Sister, don't make baseless accusations! This is a decision made by higher-ups; what does it have to do with me?"

"Bullshit! It was you who did this! You jinx!" the older woman continued to hurl insults.

Third Brother chimed in with a curse: "You're just jealous of us, trying to make our lives miserable too! You wait, I'll settle this score with you!"

Seeing the chaotic scene, Lin's mother was even more panicked. Her two children were suddenly going to the countryside, and she hadn't prepared anything. What was she going to do?

"Oh dear, what should we do! They're both going to the countryside too, and I haven't prepared anything!" Lin's mother said anxiously. "This notice came so suddenly, I don't know what to do!"

"It's all that bitch Lin Qian's fault! If it weren't for her, we wouldn't have run into this mess!" The eldest sister cursed as she shifted all the blame onto Lin Qian.

"That's right! Lin Qian, you've really ruined us!" Third Brother echoed his eldest sister's words.

Just then, Lin's father returned. Hearing the commotion at home, he walked in and saw the scene before him. After learning what had happened, he remained silent for a while, then looked at Lin Qian, seemingly understanding something.

"Lin Qian, did you do this?" Lin's father asked, his eyes stern.

Lin Qian looked at him without flinching and said, "Dad, what are you saying? I'm a victim too. I'm going to the countryside too. Why would I want to cause trouble for myself?"

Lin's father sighed helplessly; he knew the situation was beyond repair. The notice to go to the countryside had been issued, and it was an order that could not be disobeyed.

He looked at his arguing children, his heart filled with helplessness and exhaustion. "Alright, stop arguing! Since the notice has come, we can only accept it. Going to the countryside isn't necessarily a bad thing; maybe it will give you some experience and help you understand the hardships of life," Lin's father said.
