Chapter 70 True and False Young Master 11
What could this name that cannot be mentioned in the Ji family be related to?
Xing Jian's mind was in a mess. He walked alone along the path outside the villa. The eaves of the Ji family's old house gradually became smaller behind him, and he walked away unknowingly.
This mountain does not belong entirely to the Ji family. There are several small villages at the foot of the mountain. After several years of development, it has become a small town.
Only when he strolled to the small town at the foot of the mountain did Xingjian realize that he had walked too far.
The town was not very well-off, and by dusk the few supermarkets that existed had already rolled down their shutters.
Xingjian glanced at the screen of his mobile phone. There was less than 10% battery left. He looked up at the sky which was getting darker and darker. The little awkwardness in Xingjian's heart had not dissipated yet. There were still several missed calls on the screen of his mobile phone. Even if he didn't click on them, Xingjian knew who was calling him.
He didn't like going back to the old house at all, and he hated seeing Grandpa Ji who obviously hated him.
He walked aimlessly until night fell, and Xingjian accidentally came to a place. There were a few words written in red paint on the dilapidated door. In the dim moonlight, Xingjian looked at the words - "New City Orphanage".
"Brother, are you lost?"
Suddenly, a soft voice came from below, and Xingjian felt someone grabbing the hem of his clothes. He looked down and saw a little girl in a pink flowered jacket pulling his clothes and talking to him.
"I... I'm not. My phone is out of battery. Little sister, can I charge it here?" Xing Jian looked at the extremely thin girl in front of him and reached out to touch her head.
But before the little girl could answer, a rough voice came from the orphanage, "Xinxin, you're talking to me outside. Didn't I tell you not to talk to strangers?"
As the voice spoke, it walked out. A tall man appeared at the door and bumped into Xingjian.
Looking at the people coming out of the orphanage, Xing Jian felt inexplicably reserved. He raised his hand and said hello: "Hello, little sister, I just want to ask if there is a place to charge my phone here. My phone is out of battery."
Xing Jian was afraid that the person in front of him would not believe him, so he raised his phone which had been completely turned off.
Li Tingxuan looked at the man in front of him whose clothes were pulled by Xinxin, and was stunned for a moment. The young man in a white down jacket looked like an elf who had strayed into the human world. His childish face made Li Tingxuan naturally believe the Star Sword in front of him.
The mobile phone raised in the boy's hand was obviously a new model. The clothes on the boy looked very expensive. Li Tingxuan's eyes darkened and his gaze lingered on Xingjian and Xinxin for a moment.
He immediately changed his expression to one of enthusiasm and said, "Of course, come in."
Just like that, at the invitation of Xinxin and Li Tingxuan, he was taken to the orphanage.
Compared to the shabby gate outside, the New City Orphanage was exceptionally clean. There were slides and swings that children liked in the yard. A few little kids looked at the strange brother who suddenly appeared, peeking at him through the door frame, but no one dared to come over.
Xing Jian drank the hot water that Li Tingxuan brought him, and obviously noticed these little rascals at the door.
Li Tingxuan frowned and said apologetically: "I'm sorry, the children haven't seen strangers for a long time, and they are a little curious."
As he spoke, he walked towards the door to drive away the little rascals at the door, but before he took a few steps, he was stopped by Xing Jian, "Brother Li, let the children in. It's so cold outside, don't let them freeze."
With the Star Sword in hand, Li Tingxuan waved to the children at the door.
The little rascals rushed in all at once as if they had received an order, blinking their bright eyes at Xing Jian, their eyes full of curiosity and joy.
"Brother, you look like a princess." The first to speak was the little girl who was pulling her clothes at the door.
But Xinxin was interrupted by another little boy just as she finished speaking, "No, Xinxin, a princess can only be a little girl, and her brother must be the little prince in the castle."
After saying that, he looked at Xingjian, hoping to get Xingjian's recognition.
Listening to the child's childish talk in front of him, Xingjian couldn't help but burst into laughter.
In order to pay for Xinxin's surgery, Jiang Chen decided to continue his job.
If a big company doesn't want you, then you have to start from the bottom. Jiang Chen is very serious about his work, and even a position like a waiter is highly valued.
It was ten o'clock in the evening. Jiang Chen had just changed out of his work clothes and took out his mobile phone to look at the weather forecast. He frowned when he saw the announcement that it was expected to rain within an hour.
This was his last time working in this restaurant today. The boss had just paid him his salary, so Jiang Chen packed up much faster.
In order to save money, Jiang Chen always rode a shared bicycle to work here. But this time, riding a shared bicycle was far from enough to go back to the orphanage. Jiang Chen took several buses and finally got back to the orphanage before it rained.
Jiang Chen glanced at the time on his phone. It was already eleven o'clock, but strangely, the lights in the hall were still on.
He walked towards the hall in a strange manner, and as soon as he reached the door, he saw a person who could never be here - Ji Xingjian.
"Young Master?" Jiang Chen blurted out. Xing Jian turned his head when he heard the voice. He didn't expect to meet Jiang Chen here. His pupils shrank instantly. Xing Jian suddenly remembered the information his younger brother had sent him. It clearly stated that Jiang Chen grew up in the New City Orphanage.
But Xingjian never thought that this new city orphanage would be so close to the Ji family's old house.
"What's wrong, Xiaochen? Do you know Xingjian?" Li Tingxuan looked at Jiang Chen's surprised expression and was a little curious. He had never heard Jiang Chen say that he knew such a friend.
Jiang Chen nodded for some unknown reason, with mixed emotions in his heart.
Li Tingxuan yawned. The children had been arranged to go back to the bedroom and fall asleep. Before going to bed, they asked the "little prince" to tell them countless fairy tales before going to sleep.
"Xiaochen, Xingjian, I'm going to bed. You should go to bed early too. There are not many rooms in the yard. You two just have to make do with this for now." Li Tingxuan walked out while yawning, waved to the two of them, and left the hall.
Only Xing Jian and Jiang Chen were left in the hall, and the air seemed to be frozen.
They both spoke at the same time, Jiang Chen said first: "Young Master, you go first."
Hearing Jiang Chen call him "Young Master", Xing Jian frowned, and an inexplicable irritation surged in his heart, "Don't call me Young Master, my phone suddenly ran out of battery and I came here to charge it. I will probably go back tomorrow."
"Also." Xing Jian suddenly took out the fully charged phone and said, "Please add my contact information. I have something to tell you."
