Chapter 75 True and False Young Master 16

Chapter 75 True and False Young Master 16

"Young man, there's a typhoon tonight," the old lady selling fish balls next to the Xingjian shop warned in the local dialect, "Make sure to close the doors and windows, otherwise your precious things will get soaked and ruined."

Xing Jian, who was lying in the sun on a rattan chair at the door of the store, smiled and nodded at the old lady: "Thank you, grandma. I'll close the store early today."

Xingjian's handicrafts were becoming more and more popular. By the afternoon, all the accessories in the store had been sold out. Following the old lady's advice, Xingjian carefully sealed the windows of the store, tied the wooden door tightly with a hemp rope, and prepared to go to the beach to play for a while with a small flower bag in his hand.

At four o'clock in the afternoon, the sun was still exceptionally warm, its golden rays casting sparkles on the sea. Looking at the cloudless sky, Xing Jian muttered quietly, "This doesn't look like a typhoon is coming. Could it be that Grandma's weather forecast is inaccurate?"

Looking at the crowds of people coming and going on the beach, Xingjian chose to lie motionless on a beach chair and bask in the sun for a while.

Accompanied by the sound of waves at the seaside, Xingjian's eyelids began to twitch, and he fell asleep after a while.

He didn't know how long he slept, but the cold rain suddenly hit Xingjian's face, causing him to sneeze for no reason. Xingjian woke up suddenly and looked at the seaside covered with dark clouds. He knew that a typhoon was probably coming soon.

Without time to clean up, Xingjian put all the things he had put out into a small flower bag and ran home. However, the rain was merciless, and the drizzle at the beginning suddenly turned into a heavy downpour.

Fortunately, Xingjian lived not too far from the beach, and before he got completely soaked, he had already returned home.

Xing Jian stood in front of the door and poked the key in the doorway. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a black figure standing by the flowers not far away. The man was not holding an umbrella and was just getting wet in the rain. His eyes seemed to be staring at him intently.

Xingjian was startled and just wanted to open the door and go back home, but he found that the figure was getting closer and closer. Under the dim street light, Xingjian finally saw the man's face clearly.

His hair, wet by the rain, was sticking messily to his forehead, with water droplets hanging on his tall nose. His deep eyes almost sucked Xing Jian in.

"Have you had enough fun? Isn't it time to go home?" Ji Shubai pinched Xing Jian's neck and pressed him into his arms.

Before Xing Jian could say anything, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, and then everything in front of him became blurry. The next second, he completely lost consciousness and fell limply into Ji Shubai's arms.

In the rain, Ji Shubai's slender fingers gently stroked Xingjian's face again and again. He whispered in Xingjian's ear, his voice low and crazy: Mine, mine, mine...

Ji Xingjian has been missing for three whole months. The Ji family's initial angry questioning has turned into nothing but worry.

However, Mr. Ji was not worried about Xingjian's life or death at all. He even said that even if Xingjian came back, the Ji family would not let him off easily.

These words made Jiang Chen worried for a long time, fearing that Xingjian would get into trouble because of his return.

But soon, Mr. Ji no longer had time to care about whether the grandson in front of him was real or fake.

Since the day Xing Jian disappeared, the businesses of the Ji and Zhao families began to be targeted. Until today, Ji Hongsheng and Jiang Chen are still dealing with these annoying things in the company and have no time to get away.

The search for the Star Sword was temporarily put on hold.

Until that day, when Ji Hongsheng realized from clues that the company that had been targeting the Ji and Zhao families was Ji Shubai, Ji Hongsheng once again remembered Ji Shubai's strange expression that night.

Driving to Ji Shubai's company angrily, Ji Hongsheng stood downstairs and found that the building had already changed its owner, and even the huge signboard he had seen before had disappeared.

Ji Hongsheng took out his cell phone and called Ji Shubai. The phone rang only a few times before someone picked up the phone: "Ji Shubai, what do you want?"

"What do you think? Brother, didn't I make it very clear that night? Anyone who hurts Xiaoxing must pay the price." Ji Shubai's cold voice came from the other end of the phone.

"You, Ji Shubai, you really inherited your mother's good blood. You must be disappointed that Xiaoxing is not our biological child." Ji Hongsheng knew what the thorn in his biological brother's heart was. He exposed it mercilessly but Ji Shubai's expression did not change.

All I heard was Ji Shubai scoffing on the phone, "Then just wait and see, big brother."

"I warn you, stay away from Xiaochen, otherwise..."

Ji Hongsheng was silent for a long time as he looked at the black phone screen and asked the driver to take him back to the Ji family villa.

When Xingjian woke up again, he found himself lying in an unfamiliar room. The soft goose down quilt was embroidered with delicate wisteria patterns, and the white lace curtains were fluttering in the breeze. The whole room was extremely warm, except for the iron chain on his ankle, which was out of place in the room.

What place is this? Was I taken home by Ji Shubai?

Xingjian stood up and looked around the unfamiliar room. The iron chains on his feet bound him. Xingjian tried several times and found that the length was just enough for him to walk through every corner of the room. He could not take another step forward.

Through the only window in the room, Xingjian looked outside. Outside was a large garden. The fountain in the center of the garden was sculpted with a pair of angels with outstretched wings, but there was no one inside. The beautiful scenery seemed particularly desolate.

"Is anyone there?" Xingjian leaned his head out and shouted. Only Xingjian's voice echoed in the garden, with no sound of anyone responding.

After realizing that calling for help was unreliable, Xingjian began to study the chains on his feet. This time, he didn't study it for long before the door was pushed open from the outside.

The door was pushed open, and Ji Shubai stood at the doorway, looking at Xing Jian who was sitting on the bed and playing with the anklet.

Seeing Ji Shubai suddenly appear, Xing Jian immediately sat up straight and called out to Ji Shubai awkwardly, "Uncle."

But Ji Shubai did not agree. His inorganic eyes just stared at Xingjian, fearing that the little guy in front of him would disappear from his sight again.

"Uncle." Seeing that Ji Shubai ignored him, Xing Jian shouted at the man again.

"I'm not your uncle, Xiaoxing, don't you know that?" Ji Shubai walked closer to Xingjian and pinched his chin with his fingers, not allowing Xingjian to dodge even a little.

Hearing Ji Shubai's words, Xing Jian was stunned. Yes, this fake Ji Shubai was no longer his uncle.

Xing Jian stubbornly wanted to turn his head away, not wanting to face Ji Shubai's face, but Ji Shubai forced him to straighten his head and look him face to face.
