Chapter 84 Healing the Apocalyptic Villain 7

Chapter 84 Healing the Apocalyptic Villain 7

"Benefactor, my name is Chen Shang." Chen Shang knelt on the ground, not knowing what his benefactor was going to do. Then he saw a red light hitting his body, his palms felt slightly hot, and he saw a dark red brand on his palms.

"This is the curse I cast on you. If you dare to betray me in the future, you and the people you love will be reduced to ashes." Xingjian no longer had a smile on his face. His cold face made Chen Shang feel a little panicked, and even the mark on the palm of his hand felt slightly hot.

After the contract was signed, Xing Jian told Chen Shang to wait here, then opened the tent and walked out. The long sword in his hand suddenly disappeared from his palm.

"Is my benefactor a god?" Chen Shang muttered to himself as he looked at Xing Jian's back. He had never seen a psychic with such superpowers, and what was that strange mark on his palm? What were these?

Even when Ye Xinlian's hand rested on Chen Shang's shoulder, he turned around and hugged the woman behind him tightly. There were still tears in the corners of his eyes, but a happy smile was on his face.

After leaving Chen Shang's tent, Xing Jian did not plan to stay in this tent area for long. He looked into the distance and wondered whether the group of people had discovered his identity. Perhaps a wanted poster with his photo printed on it had been prepared to be distributed to every corner of the city.

The headshots of Xingjian and Meng Lingyun were indeed sent to the base, but after those headshots were sent to Lin Zhaoming's communicator, there was no follow-up.

Looking at the quirky Xing Jian in the video and the smile of success in testing Meng Lingyun, Lin Zhaoming suddenly felt a twitch at the corner of his mouth. He looked at the mirror with some surprise and found that the corner of his mouth in the mirror was hanging with a smile, a smile he had never shown before.

Lin Zhaoming touched the image projected on the virtual screen in front of him countless times, as if he could touch the boy he had never seen.

Knowing that the young man was most likely already in the base, Lin Zhaoming wished he could capture the young man and bring him to his side right now, not letting him leave his side for a moment, and keep him by his side until the real end of the world came.

Because of the confidentiality involved, Meng Lingyun did not send the video to Xu Xiangwan, but on the way back to the base, he had already contacted Xu Xiangwan. When Xu Xiangwan heard Meng Lingyun talking about the strange Red Leaf Base, he frowned. He had never heard of a base called Red Leaf Base.

Could it be a small base that was just built recently? Xu Xiangwan checked the communicator at hand, and the answer he got was that there was no such base at all.

After Xu Xiangwan informed Meng Lingyun of this, a rare silence fell over the communicator. Then, Meng Lingyun said in a very small and discouraged voice, "Could he really be from the Meng family and heading for the base?"

If you were to ask who the Meng family wanted to bring down the most, Meng Lingyun couldn't think of anyone else except Lin Zhaoming.

"Don't panic, Xiaoyun. That man just said that to confuse you. Even if he is a member of the Meng family, Mr. Lin will not easily believe such a person with special abilities. Come back first, we'll discuss it later." Xu Xiangwan calmed Meng Lingyun's heart and spoke gently. Suddenly, he saw a furry head appear not far away out of the corner of his eye.

After hanging up the phone, Xu Xiangwan looked carefully and found that it was the young man he had just met on the street.

The boy was actually holding the same silicone heart that the liar Chen had in his hand.

Realizing that the boy in front of him had been deceived again, Xu Xiangwan held his forehead with a hint of helplessness. He didn't understand whose child this child was from and why he was raised to be so ignorant of the world.

"Come here, kid." Xu Xiangwan waved in the direction of Xingjian, and Xingjian walked towards him.

Xu Xiangwan wanted to take the fake heart from the child, but Xingjian leaned sideways and Xu Xiangwan's hand missed.

"This is a fake, little idiot, how could you be fooled again." Perhaps it was Xingjian's overly deceptive appearance that made Xu Xiangwan let down his guard and involuntarily believe the boy in front of him.

Xing Jian tilted his head in confusion, his grey eyes fixed on Xu Xiangwan's. "Of course it's fake. If it were a real heart, it would hurt, like this."

Xu Xiangwan stared with wide eyes at the boy who had just had an innocent look on his face. He put his hands into his chest.

"Brother, your heart is so beautiful." The glaring blood was on the boy's white hands, and the heart in his hands seemed to still be beating.

But what Xu Xiangwan wondered was why he couldn't feel any pain?

His own healing ability was of no use at all, he could only feel the hot blood flowing all over his body.

Why doesn't it hurt?

Suddenly, Xu Xiangwan opened his eyes. There was no hot blood in front of him, nor his beating heart, nor the young man just now. There was only himself standing in the sun for a long time, his black combat uniform was scorching hot from the sun.

Xing Jian was hiding in a corner not far away, watching Xu Xiangwan's changing expression, the curve of his mouth growing wider and wider.

Xing Jian's laughter was a little too presumptuous, and even though Xu Xiangwan was standing far away, he could still hear it clearly.

Then he saw the young man who had just taken out his heart, now standing not far away and laughing, as if mocking his actions.

"Who are you? A psychic? Base regulations prohibit psychics from attacking each other. You are suspected of violating the base convention. Please come with me." Xu Xiangwan took out his ID and held it in front of Xing Jian.

Unable to understand what Xu Xiangwan was holding, Xing Jian ignored his threats and muttered softly, "Brother, I didn't actually take out your heart, but you actually dug out the little rabbit's heart."

Xu Xiangwan heard Xingjian's mumbling clearly. The grass-type mutant rabbits in the apocalypse were gentle and never attacked humans, but their hearts had a great effect on wood-type mutants. All mutants would kill and take out the hearts of wild rabbits when they encountered them in the exploration area, but this was the first time Xu Xiangwan heard someone say this to the young man in front of him.

For a moment, Xu Xiangwan couldn't say anything to refute and could only stand there in a daze. However, he still didn't let Xing Jian leave. Instead, he took out a pair of handcuffs from his pocket and handcuffed Xing Jian to his side.

Seeing Xing Jian's unusually obedient appearance, Xu Xiangwan warned him, "Don't try to hypnotize me again. I'm a healing psychic. I've seen through your little tricks, so they're useless now."

Looking at Xu Xiangwan's serious expression in front of him, Xing Jian pouted and didn't reply.
