"Look at the sky, it's been dark all day."
Shen Yulou, holding the baby, peered out the window.
Outside, a fierce wind was blowing, cutting like a knife and stinging people's skin, swirling many leaves in the air.
The baby's fur has been blown into an afro.
"It's windy outside, don't let the wind blow on you, or you'll get a headache."
Chi Yuan pulled the curious father and son back from behind and closed the window.
"What time is it now?"
The pendulum, which had just been presented as tribute from the West, swayed back and forth. Shen Yulou glanced at the dial.
It's only 6 p.m.
The little guy stretched out his paws, trying to grab the pendulum that was swinging back and forth, but unfortunately it was covered by a layer of glass, so the little guy couldn't reach it.
"Go to bed early tonight, the thunder will probably be very loud."
Chi Yuan touched the baby's forehead, then bent down and hugged the baby in his arms.

Shen Yulou pinched the little one's tail, causing the little guy to instinctively shrink back.
"Let's eat quickly and go to bed early."
"It's windy and rainy tonight, so let the palace servants go home and rest early."
"And those guards, don't stand on trees or rooftops, or you'll get struck by lightning."
"Leave a few of the strongest fighters to stand on the roof beams."
Shen Meiren pointed to the elaborate decorations above her head.
Upon hearing Consort Shen's suggestion, His Majesty the Emperor nodded in agreement.
"Don't worry, I've already made arrangements."
“There will be guards stationed in all the palaces tonight.”
The lives of palace servants are also lives, so there's no need to make them work in such terrible weather.
An occasional pardon is harmless.
After having dinner and resting for a while, the couple took a shower and then snuggled into their warm bed.
The dragon bed was surrounded by thick gauze curtains, and Shen Yulou had specially tucked all the outer gauze curtains under the mat.
Don't ask, the answer is that I feel safer in enclosed spaces.
"Give me another kiss."
Chi Yuan was still clinging to Shen Yulou, wanting a kiss.
He hadn't kissed her enough while she was showering.

Shen Yulou was busy covering the family of three with blankets and didn't have time to pay attention to Chi Yuan, who was trying to stick to her like crazy.
His entire body was covered in marks left from his recent shower, large patches of red.
"I just want to stick to you."
Chi Yuan hugged Shen Yulou's shoulders tightly, smelling the top of his head.
"Why aren't you asleep yet, little one? It's going to thunder soon!"
Shen Yulou poked the little baby lying on the quilt looking at them with his finger.
The little guy watched them being affectionate and smiled happily, looking silly.
"It's cold outside, come in."
I picked up the baby and tucked him under the blanket.
"With such round, bright eyes, aren't you sleepy yet?"
Shen Meiren nestled in Chi Yuan's arms, holding her baby, and the two of them worked together to exhaust the baby's energy.
The little boy got even more excited when he saw someone playing with him.
Suddenly, a dazzling white light flashed through the palace, and a massive thunderclap tore through the sky.
The little one's eyes widened in surprise, and he stood frozen in his fathers' arms.
Shen Yulou quickly covered his two little ears.
Chi Yuan immediately covered Shen Yulou's ears.
A deafening clap of thunder echoed across the sky.
"You're gripping Father's clothes so tightly, are you scared?"
Chi Yuan rubbed the baby's back. The delicate little boy's back was tense, and he seemed a little lost.
"If the baby doesn't go to sleep, he won't be able to fall asleep."
Shen Yulou pulled the blanket up a little higher, holding the baby in her arms even tighter.
"Actually, you might be startled awake even when you're asleep."
Chi Yuan added insult to injury from the side.
A lightning bolt even brighter than before illuminated the entire palace once more, and Shen Yulou never lowered her hand from the baby's ears.
"All thunder and no rain?"
"That's normal. It always makes a sound for a while before it rains."
The couple didn't hear the rain; the closed windows probably blocked out the sounds from outside.
Why are you covering my ears?
Shen Yulou looked up, her eyes filled with stars, the hand still close to her ear.
"I'm not a child anymore, I won't be scared by thunder anymore!"
"Of course you're not a little kid, you're my big friend."
"You cover your child's ears, and I'll cover my adult's ears."
Chi Yuan had Shen Yulou overjoyed, and her lips never left her mouth. She showered Chi Yuan's chin and neck with kisses.
"That's right, I love hearing that. Keep up the good work next time."
Shen Meiren still really enjoys hearing her lover say sweet words to her.
I also like things that are rustic or unsophisticated.
It was a bit awkward, though.
The baby was now pressed against Shen Yulou's chest, its face like a steamed bun, tempting the two husbands to take a bite.
"Pouty-lipped baby, didn't you say you weren't scared?"
Seeing the pitiful look on the little one's face, the couple knew the child was about to cry.
The thunder outside the window grew more frequent, and the flashes of white light became more and more intense.
