It couldn't wait to bite down on the pacifier in front of it and start sucking away.
Watching it wolf down its food, Chi Yuan casually patted its head and chuckled, "Are all foxes this cute when they're young?"
“Of course, our fox cubs are the cutest.” Shen Yulou didn’t pick up her chopsticks first, but instead placed her hands on her chin and stared intently at Chi Yuan with her bright eyes as she answered.
"Has anyone ever told you that you have a pair of very captivating eyes?" Chi Yuan looked back, holding the fox cub's milk bottle in one hand and resting his face on his other hand, tilting his head lazily.
“They only say my eyes are beautiful, because I’ve never looked at them with those alluring eyes.” Shen Yulou took out one hand, swirled the wine glass next to him, and raised it in front of Chi Yuan as a gesture.
The two had somehow switched to Mandarin, losing some of its rhythm and liveliness but gaining a more formal and magnetic tone.
"So, Mr. Shen, can I take that... you're seducing me?" Chi Yuan raised his wine glass to the side of his cheek and swirled it, but did not clink glasses with Shen Yulou. Perhaps he was waiting for a satisfactory answer.
"What do you think, Mr. Chi?" Shen Yulou did not move his wine glass back even though Chi Yuan did not clink glasses with him; in fact, he moved it forward a little.
“I think…” Chi Yuan pretended to be thinking, but finally couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Clink..." The crisp sound of wine glasses clinking rang out. The two looked at each other and smiled, then drank the rest of their wine in one gulp.
"You adults are so strange..." The little fox cub sipped its milk with relish while observing the actions of the two adults.
What were they talking about? The little fox wanted to join in too! After a while, the little fox wanted to join the two adults' conversation again, but they had already muted themselves, so the little fox could only suck the loose bottle back in.
"Fine, fine...you wretched adults! Aren't you going to wait for the fox cub?!" The cute little boy was a bit angry and drank even harder.
They clinked glasses and exchanged toasts. The two thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Shen Yulou's gaze toward Chi Yuan was somewhat unfocused and dazed. Chi Yuan's Adam's apple bobbed, and certain unspeakable parts of his body seemed to react, and quite strongly at that.
"I'm a little drunk," Shen Yulou waved his hand dismissively.
The baby has finished drinking his milk, but no one is playing with him. The tails seem to have fallen asleep.
"Aww?" The shadow of the newly replaced candle fell into the little fox's basket, and he was very interested in the huge creature shining on his little blanket.
It played with the ever-changing shadows of the flame with its little paws for a while, then got bored and lay on the edge of the basket, stretching out its little hands to try and catch the real flame.
Such an obvious action must have caught the attention of the two adults who had been keeping an eye on the little fox out of the corner of their eye.
"Little one, you can't pounce on me..." Shen Yulou tried to make a fierce sound, but he was already drunk and couldn't control his strength at all, so he became a little weak.
Seeing that they had finished eating anyway, and that the little fox was too young to understand adults, Chi Yuan decided it was a bit dangerous for it to stay there. So he told the steward to bring the basket containing the little fox with him, and then he went upstairs to help Shen Yulou.
