Chapter 230 The Mermaid Loves to Sing (17)

Poseidon shook his head, temporarily banishing the bad thoughts from his mind.

The little prince shook his head, indicating his refusal.

"Some people have to do it themselves."

A seductive smile appeared on her pure and innocent face, making Sirens' heart skip a beat.

The little prince is so handsome, more handsome than many of the gods he has ever seen.

The three of them strolled along leisurely.

For some reason, there were an unusually large number of carriages heading to the palace today, forming a long and impressive procession.

Shen Yulou and his companions saw the notice outside the castle walls and realized that today was the prince's selection ceremony for a bride, and all eligible women would come to the palace to attend the ball.

It seems like something's starting to interfere...

They originally planned to disguise themselves and go in dressed as women.

But Sirens was holding her cub, and the guards couldn't very well allow a married woman with a child to enter.

The two exchanged a glance, then sneakily made their way to the edge of the secluded castle. Shen Yulou, with Sirens in tow, began to climb the wall.

Believe it or not, this wall is quite difficult to climb, but it can't stop Shen Yulou, who's got some kind of cheat code.

He used a hook to open the attic window and nimbly jumped inside.

Then pull up the Sirens below.

"Your arm strength is impressive!"

Shen Yulou watched as the agile man held the baby in one arm and then climbed the wall with the other.

Wow, that's amazing! No wonder he's her man.

Sirens straightened his clothes, making sure he maintained a good appearance at all times.

As a god, his body was naturally perfect.

"Okay, you should go to sleep now."

Looking at the little guy nestled in Sirens' arms with his eyes wide open, Shen Yulou manually forced him to shut down.

How can such a young baby see murder? It has a bad influence.

Sneaking out of the room, I walked through the dark corridor and followed the light.

Suddenly, a loud crashing sound of porcelain breaking came from the door next door.

Then came a woman's sharp scream.

"What did you say? There are women in the world more beautiful than me?"

Shen Yulou and Sirenius stopped in their tracks at the same time, then pressed their ears against the door of the room where the sound was coming from.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?"

The woman's deep, suppressed voice conveyed her intense anger.

"Your Majesty, it is Princess."

"I'm going to kill her! I'm going to kill her!"

The sound of clenched teeth was particularly grating, followed by the sound of porcelain being swept off the ground.

Heavy footsteps approached the door from inside the bedroom, and Shen Yulou quickly grabbed Siren's hand and ran away.

In the main hall on the first floor of the castle, colorful women were dancing in the center.

The gorgeous tutu swayed with her steps, and when she twirled, it bloomed like a flower.

The lace fan in her hand, the pearl necklace around her neck, and the feathers on her head made her look exceptionally charming.

The rhythmic tapping of high heels added cadence to the musicians' music.

After the music ended, the ladies stepped forward one by one to greet His Highness the Prince, as the list of officials read out.

The noble prince found the women utterly boring and even yawned a few times.

Suddenly, a stunningly beautiful young woman, dressed in dazzling attire, rushed into the banquet hall.

The prince's eyes lit up when he saw her. He stood up straight, walked through the crowd, took the girl's hand, and started dancing.

Background music started playing as if to be on cue.

The prince and the lady went from the front of the stage to backstage.

The remaining people began to discuss among themselves.

Shen Yulou and Sirenius followed in the prince's footsteps, but they were stopped by someone along the way.

Looking down, I saw a little girl in a red cloak appear out of nowhere. Her fair face was covered in dust and she looked dirty.

She took a matchbox out of the basket and asked timidly:
