Shen Yulou had finished drying his hair. He took out a handkerchief and gently wiped away the tear stains and snot from the fox cub's face.
Shen Yulou carefully took the baby from Chi Yuan's arms and asked Chi Yuan to go to the door to find a palace servant to change their wet bedding.
While Chi Yuan was out, Shen Yulou transformed the little figure in his arms back into a fluffy fox.
Under Chi Yuan's instructions, the palace servants quietly changed the bedding.
After everything settled down, the family of three could finally lie in bed and sleep.
