"What exactly did you call me here for?" Liu Yaozu shrugged his shoulders and started acting like a spoiled brat.
“Here it comes,” Chi Yuan said, pointing to the butler on the stairs—or rather, the little fox the butler was holding.
“I’m going to pick out a diamond ring for my boyfriend. You go and help him pick out jewelry. Go!” Chi Yuan patted him on the shoulder.
Liu Yaozu was dumbfounded. Was this some kind of new hobby for rich people?
"You're inferior to him but not to me?" Liu Yaozu pointed at the fox cub and then at himself, feeling that the ship of friendship had capsized beyond repair.
“He’s my boyfriend’s son, so he’s practically my son. I can be your son if you want, and I’ll take care of everything here!” Chi Yuan stood in front of Liu Yaozu with his hands folded in front of his chest, ready to go with someone to the private room for guests to see the diamond ring.
"It's not like I can't afford it. Why would I rush to become your son? Am I crazy?" Liu Yaozu said, speechless, and waved his hand to tell him to get inside.
No sooner had Chi Yuan entered the inner room than the little fox cub was handed to Liu Yaozu. The cub tilted its head and stared at him, and he tilted his head and stared at the fox cub. The two looked at each other in bewilderment.
Chi Yuan leaned against the threshold and glanced back, secretly amused.
Don't say that your father doesn't care about you, kid. Get to know Liu Yaozu better, and in a few years you'll be able to get a lot of red envelopes.
Liu Yaozu has always been very generous to those close to him, and since Liu Yaozu and Zhao Desheng can't have children, Chi Yuan can already imagine the scene of the fox cub being pampered by the four of them.
"Aww..." The fox cub cautiously nuzzled its head against Liu Yaozu's palm.
Liu Yaozu: "..." So cute, I can't resist...
The butler immediately opened a jewelry magazine and showed the designs to the fox cub.
When the little boy saw the sparkling jewelry, he became excited and jumped around so much that Liu Yaozu almost couldn't hold him.
“The fox cub really likes sparkly things. Mr. Chi said you have good taste and wants you to accompany him to pick out some gems and have a chain of the right size made to be tied to his tail and neck, the kind that is full of diamonds.”
"Mr. Chi said that nine stripes need to be made for the tail so that he can wear them in rotation every day. There are quite a few, so it may be a bit of a hassle for Mr. Liu for a while."
Liu Yaozu was somewhat surprised. For families like theirs, even if they commissioned a lot of jewelry, it wouldn't cost much. What was rare was that Chi Yuan had such a serious attitude.
So he put away his carefree attitude and started to get serious. The waiter next to him squatted down with a magazine and held it between Fox Cub and Liu Yaozu so that the two of them could see the jewelry designs in the magazine clearly.
The little one was so happy! When he woke up, the butler told him that his father was going to buy him lots and lots of sparkly things to hang on his tail and neck. The little one thought he was still half asleep.
It wasn't until the butler let him choose a style that he realized it wasn't a dream. The little one was so engrossed in the world of jewelry magazines that he felt like he was about to faint from happiness. Daddy Chi is such a wonderful person, the little fox forgives him!
The little one excitedly thought that every time he stretched out a paw and placed it on his favorite photo, the butler would mark it with a pen.
Chi's dad and Shen's dad must love how sparkly you look! The little fox imagines appearing in front of his two dads looking all shiny, especially Shen's dad's surprised expression. The little fox would absolutely adore it!
"Take your time choosing, don't rush." Feeling the increasingly excited voice of the fox cub in his arms, Liu Yaozu stroked him to comfort him.
Okay, okay, little one, don't worry!
The fox cub's left paw blocked the right paw that was quickly extending, and the two paws tried to stop each other from fighting.
