Shen Yulou felt that the first one was more likely.
He gently folded the list, placed it in the inside pocket of his suit jacket, and walked toward the crowd.
The Secretary of State arrived with several ministers, and they all gathered together to talk.
Sergei and Vladimir also arrived.
"Yu, come here for a second."
Vladimir stood out from the crowd, waving to Shen Yulou as elegantly dressed waiters carried silver platters filled with champagne through the throng.
The crystal chandelier illuminated the banquet hall as bright as day, and the Baroque-style reliefs meandered along the ceiling, complementing the vintage crystal candlesticks.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Shen."
The various people following Vladimir all wore smiles, some warm and some reserved. As Vladimir called out to them, they all turned their gazes toward Shen Yulou.
"This is Mr. Doug, CEO of the Sigley Group; this is Mrs. Chloe, a major shareholder of Vita New Energy Group; and this is..."
Shen Yulou shook hands with each of them and chatted with them in a friendly manner.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all."
“I have been following the Reform Party for a long time. Your policies and plans, especially your commitment to investment and support for scientific and technological research and development, sound very attractive.”
Mr. Doug raised his champagne glass and clinked it with Shen Yulou and Vladimir.
"What are your plans for the future?"
"The New Economy Implementation Plan has been in place for some time, and its effects on investment in education and scientific research are beginning to show."
"The Reform Party has always prioritized scientific research and innovation. We will increase the amount of special fund investment and adjust tax incentives accordingly."
Mr. Derek, the president of Aug Quantum, nodded thoughtfully.
"Is there a preliminary draft of the specific adjustment plan?"
“Mr. Derek, these things need to be done step by step. After all, every country needs an adaptation period for its policies.”
"If we are given enough time, these policies have a high probability of being implemented and will create tremendous value for everyone."
Shen Yulou casually made a large pancake, stuffing a bite into everyone's mouth. Everyone's faces showed satisfied smiles, and they wanted to continue chatting and dig out more information.
As she tilted her head back and pursed her lips, Shen Yulou noticed a familiar figure in the corner out of the corner of her eye. She gestured for Vladimir to take her place and practice Tai Chi with everyone.
After saying "Excuse me" to himself, he walked through the crowd toward Chi Yuan.
Chi Yuan glanced at the figure rushing towards him, raised his leg as if to run, but no matter how he tried, he was caught by Shen Yulou.
"What? Is Young Master Chi avoiding me?"
"No, I was just taking a walk."
With one hand in his pocket, Chi Yuan turned his head and looked towards the center of the banquet hall.
"Really? I thought Young Master Chi was deliberately avoiding me."
Shen Yulou calmly smiled and raised his hand to touch Chi Yuan's wine glass, the yellow wine swirling slightly.
"Why are you here today? Where's your brother?"
"My brother is sick and is resting at home."
Chi Yuan lied without batting an eye, and no one could find a flaw in his calm demeanor.
"Really? Then please convey my condolences to your brother."
"What happened to your hand?"
Looking down, I saw the red wound on Chi Yuan's tiger's mouth, as if it had been cut by a sharp weapon, and it had already scabbed over.
"I just accidentally swiped it."
Chi Yuan's lips twitched, looking somewhat embarrassed.
He would never tell Shen Yulou that he accidentally broke the bowl yesterday when he was taking it out of the dishwasher.
I instinctively grabbed it with my hand, and my finger got cut.
In order to destroy the evidence, Chi Yuan secretly hid the broken pieces of the bowl in his pocket and smuggled them out.
Shen Yulou probably didn't notice, right? After all, there are so many bowls.
"Oh, by the way, did you wash the wok I used for fried rice yesterday? It's so clean!"
Suddenly remembering something? Shen Yulou showered him with praise.
"I was thinking that since our dishwasher couldn't fit that pot, Young Master Chi would let me wash it myself."
"Ahem, my upbringing prevents me from doing such a thing."
