Hypocritical politicians all have beautiful faces (54)

My thoughts drifted back to this day last month.

Inside the meeting room, the people were arguing endlessly, each thinking about how to bring the United States Party and the Charter Party to their deaths. In the end, it was Sergei who urgently called a halt, preventing an impending fight.

"This is a conference hall, not a vegetable market!"

"I asked you to discuss how to deal with the current public opinion campaign launched by the United States Party, not to discuss assassinating anyone."

Sergei slammed his hand on the table, the loud noise causing the group, who had been arguing and red-faced, to reluctantly return to their seats after grabbing each other's collars.

"Are you trying to destroy the entire Reform Party?"

"Assassination is a last resort, a last-ditch effort. Right now, our Reform Party has an advantage in the election."

"If we are found out, our Reform Party will be doomed, not only for this year's election, but for at least the next two elections."

Vladimir watched the farce with a cold eye, while Shen Yulou spoke up at the right moment to ease the tense atmosphere of the meeting.

"In fact, the current Plan No. 3 is already quite comprehensive. Our prepared plan can effectively counter the United States' propaganda attacks and win the votes of most offshore workers."

"What we lack now is a plan to deliver a fatal blow to the United States and Charter Party, but that plan is not necessary at the moment."

"After all, we still have a long time to prepare before the election ends this year."

Shen Yulou placed his hands on his chin, his voice soft and measured, his gaze slowly sweeping across the conference room as if assessing everyone's reactions.

"Therefore, I suggest that we focus our efforts on consolidating our existing advantages at this stage, and proceed steadily according to Plan No. 3..."

However, before he could finish speaking, Vladimir raised his hand to interrupt him. Shen Yulou looked at him helplessly, and Sergei also perked up alertly.

Don't assume there are no disagreements between master and apprentice. Currently, there are two factions within the Reform Party: the moderates and the radicals. Shen Yulou leans towards the moderates.

Vladimir, on the other hand, leans towards the radical faction.

Therefore, the two often clashed over their views, and both Shen Yulou and Vladimir were stubborn and neither was willing to give in.

Sergei, the neutral party, was caught in the middle and couldn't be trusted by either side. In his words, the two men were "stubborn," and Vladimir, the old stubborn man, was even more so.

"I have another plan that I think is pretty good."

A meaningful smile appeared on Vladimir's face. He stroked his chin with his fingers and turned his head to look at Viktor Malinowski, the chairman of the Federal Food Safety Commission, beside him.

Viktor looked at Sergei, and after being given permission to speak, he looked at Shen Yulou, but the beautiful Shen Yulou gave him a light glance and then looked away.

Shen Meiren: Sigh, too lazy to look.

Unable to provoke him, Victor remained unperturbed, sitting in his seat with a smile, playing the role of a smiling tiger.

"As far as I know, the United States' financial backer, Coral Global Holdings Group, has been illegally cultivating genetically modified oyster seedlings, and my informant within the group has ample evidence."

Sergei raised an eyebrow in surprise, but that alone was far from enough. He gestured for Victor to continue.

“My plan is to mix these illegally bred genetically modified oyster seedlings into refrigerated trucks, and then tamper with the traceability code on the outside of the packaging boxes containing the oyster seedlings.”

“Once a pollution outbreak occurs in aquaculture, we can hand over all the evidence we have to the media for exposure.”

"In this way, we can both accuse the United States of colluding with corporations to violate regulations and take the opportunity to introduce our prepared Clean Farming Act."

Victor promptly handed over the draft bill to Sergei for review of its general content.

"So? What will happen to that area after the pollution? How long will it take to recover? Have the compensation standards for the fishermen been set?"

Shen Yulou actually disliked this kind of political tactic that affected ordinary people. In his eyes, politics should be a game between politicians, and affecting people's livelihoods was a very irresponsible thing.
