Opening a dessert shop in the interstellar battlefield (15)

"You can eat with confidence, all the cakes in our shop are fine."

"I'm eating too."

Seeing that the guest still didn't speak, Shen Yulou picked up the remaining tiramisu and started eating it, his eagerness seemingly filled with strong determination.

"You are the sweetest."

The patient's eyes were unfocused, his voice was halting and fragmented, and his frail body was trembling, his figure swaying precariously.

"Is it the sweetest cake in our shop?"

After carefully discerning his voice, Shen Yulou, half-guessing, brought him a stool.

"Macarons are the sweetest cakes in our shop."

"See if you like it, I'll pack you more."

I opened the counter and took a strawberry-flavored macaron.

The soldier, whose consciousness had been clearly corrupted, couldn't wait to stuff the whole macaron into his mouth, so much so that his cheeks almost split open.

The cake hit his throat, causing him to gag several times, but he swallowed it back down.

Bite after bite, his mouth chewed mechanically, his throat moved with difficulty, his mouth, filled with bitter medicine, had long forgotten what sweetness was.

The suppressed memories were stimulated and resurfaced.

Before the endless despair and sorrow arrived, he could only keep eating the sweets in his mouth, hoping that the sweetness could drive away the torment that tormented him day after day.

"What's wrong? It's...it's so delicious?"

Seeing the patient's empty eyes and almost frantic eating, Shen Yulou quickly took out all the macarons in the shop and placed them in front of him, along with a cup of freshly brewed hot milk tea.

"There's still plenty here. Take your time eating. It's okay, no rush."

As one macaron after another was eaten, her slender belly began to bloat, making her look even more unwell.

"Why don't you pack it up and eat it slowly at home? Eating too much at once is hard to digest."

Shen Yulou tentatively offered suggestions, somewhat unsure of the patient's current state and emotions.

These words seemed to press the pause button. The soldier's right eyeball rolled and twitched. He covered his eye and looked down. After a while, he looked up again and looked at Shen Yulou with an almost pleading look.

"Thanks."

"Yes, I want both, is that okay?"

Shen Yulou immediately nodded.

"Sure, sure, there's plenty left over anyway, so take it all and eat it."

Shen Meiren nimbly lifted her foot and climbed over the fence to start packing for the customers.

"There's too much. How about I take it to the hospital for you? Can you carry it?"

Looking at the bags and packages of desserts, Shen Yulou was a little worried that he wouldn't be able to carry them all.

"Yes, yes, it's okay."

The slender patient shook his head, reached out both hands to gather all the packages, and moved slowly with snail-like steps.

Shen Yulou peeked out and kept watching his back until he was sure he had really gone into the hospital.

"OK, now I have another reason to be glad that my shop is located next to a hospital."

"Being close by makes it convenient for patients to carry desserts."

The cakes are sold out, the shop can close now.

Shen Yulou looked up at the sky and prepared to close and lock the door.

With a wave of my hand, I pulled down the pink roller shutter, covering the pastry display stand and completely isolating the soft room from the outside world.

"I have to bake another cake. Let me think about what to make tonight..."

The little one was playing with toys in his crib in the corner, and when he saw his father coming over, he raised the rattle in his hand and waved it.

"Baby, Daddy is so tired after a long day."

Shen Yulou lay on the cloud bed, holding the baby, and pressed her hand against her waist.

"Huh?"

Feeling tired? Give me a massage!

The little one knows, the little one understands.

Whenever Mr. Shen said he was tired, Mr. Chi would put his hands on Mr. Shen and massage him.

The children also imitated Chi's father, placing their little hands on Shen Yulou's back and gently pressing.

Although it's not very strong, it's better than nothing.

Shen Yulou's heart was indeed healed by her son.

"If only I had a clone that could help me with my work."

He buried his face in the pillow and muttered to himself. After a while, the hair on the top of his head suddenly stood up.

This is a sign of enlightenment!

Isn't he able to control the plants in the center of the battlefield?
