Teaching magic at Hogwarts (94)

"Draco, the era of the Dark Lord has arrived. It's time to act."

Lucius's face in the mirror was both strangely familiar and strangely unfamiliar.

His speech and actions seemed to follow Voldemort's usual style.

Stiffness can unconsciously induce feelings of fear in people.

Draco loosened his grip, and the mirror fell to the ground and shattered.

He crouched down, intending to pick up the broken pieces from the ground, but found his hands were trembling uncontrollably.

Like a sieve, it shakes more and more violently, unable to even perform the most basic grasping motion.

Xiaolong clasped his hands tightly together and rushed into the boys' bathroom with red eyes.

He picked up a handful of water and splashed it on his face.

Looking at her face in the mirror, her hair was still dripping wet, and her hot breath blew onto the mirror as she breathed.

Gradually, Draco even saw Voldemort's face in the mirror.

"ah!"

Draco waved his arms in the void, screamed, and fell to the ground, retreating backward.

"Malfoy, are you alright?"

A familiar voice sounded behind me, and a stranger's hand touched my shoulder.

Draco turned around abruptly and saw that it was Harry.

Voldemort's face in the mirror also disappeared, as if what Draco had just seen was his own hallucination.

He braced himself on the ground, trying to stand up.

Harry held his arm, offering some meager assistance.

"Excuse me for asking, but I feel like you've been acting strange lately. Has something happened?"

Seeing Draco leaning against the sink, Harry leaned against him as well.

Seeing Harry's unfamiliar and somewhat uncomfortable demeanor, Draco turned his head away from him.

He silently wanted to leave.

"Wait, Malfoy, tell me, maybe we can solve this together."

Draco instinctively tried to dodge Harry's attempt to grab his hand.

Harry's outstretched hand froze in mid-air, his palm clenched awkwardly a few times, and then he awkwardly withdrew it.

"I'm sorry, I... I just wanted to..."

Harry scratched his head, stammering as he tried to explain.

"Why should you help me solve this?"

Draco's eyes were filled with distrust and sarcasm.

Harry was stunned by this reversal of priorities and the reversal of roles.

No, brother, you...?

"I don't think we have a very good relationship, do we?"

“I’ve called Hermione a Mudblood, I look down on Ron Weasley’s lineage, and I hate that you’re better at drawing attention than I am.”

"Do you like me? If you don't, why are you helping me solve my problems?"

Draco gave a bitter laugh; the brokenness of a noble young master was palpable.

Harry gripped Draco's shoulders, trying to steady him and calm him down.

“Listen, I want to help you. Whether your relationship with us is harmonious or not is not important.”

"I want to help you, I simply want to help you."

"I will lend a helping hand to anyone I see who is in trouble and needs help."

Harry hurriedly explained.

"So? So you've mistaken me for a beggar, is that it?"

Draco pushed against Harry's restraints, becoming stronger with each struggle.

"What beggar..."

Harry frowned, indicating his incomprehension.

"You're treating me like a beggar who needs charity, aren't you?"

"Show me your damned mercy, and then show me your kindness?"

Draco became increasingly agitated as he spoke, eventually descending into a state of hysteria and frenzy.

“I don’t need your damn kindness. I can live perfectly well on my own.”

"Draco, Draco, calm down."

Harry was pushed away by Draco.

Harry tried to explain something to Draco, whose eyes were bloodshot, but Draco had already stormed out the door.

Draco ran for a long time before stopping, panting, and leaning against a pillar.

Tears streamed down his face uncontrollably, and Xiaolong stubbornly wiped them away with his sleeve.

He felt wronged.

It started accumulating from the moment my parents took me to see Voldemort.

He couldn't understand why.
