Luo Jiu was stunned for a moment before coming to her senses.
Her red lips curved slightly, her foxy eyes gleamed upwards, and she parted her lips slightly, "Let's go play together..."
"If you go looking for inspiration, then... what's in it for me?"
Luo Jiu blinked and looked at him.
Su Hengzhe picked up the teacup on the table, took a small sip, and smelled the delicate fragrance; it was good tea.
"The benefits are numerous," Su Hengzhe smiled faintly and put down his teacup.
The guests here all like to drink, either imported liquor or baijiu. This is the first time I've seen someone come to a dance hall specifically to order tea.
"Then tell me, maybe I'll want to go?"
Luo Jiu also poured herself a cup of tea, wondering how it differed from the tea drunk in ancient times.
It smelled wonderfully, but it was also incredibly bitter. Luo Jiu frowned at the bitterness. Why did everyone she knew seem to enjoy tea so much?
"For example, if I can create a perfume that satisfies me, everything Miss Luo buys from my store will be free. And also..."
Upon hearing this, Luo Jiu's brows immediately relaxed.
That's quite a big investment, interesting.
"If you want something else, like my family's money, or even me..."
At this point, Su Hengzhe feigned shyness and embarrassment. He said hesitantly:
"It's not a difficult thing, as long as you're willing to marry me."
Su Hengzhe opened his chestnut-colored eyes. He looked up at Luo Jiu, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Ever since that fleeting glimpse of the Seine Mansion, you have been all I can think about, in my eyes, and in my peripheral vision.
"Alright, I'm quite interested in your perfume. If you go there and can't blend it, don't blame me."
Luo Jiu automatically ignored the second half of the sentence.
Some jokes shouldn't be made lightly. Unintentional jokes are fine, but if it's a serious one, a direct rejection might ruin the friendship.
"If the beautiful Luo Jiu is so kind as to do me this time, and I still can't come up with a perfume, then I'm afraid I've run out of inspiration and will never be able to create a perfume in my lifetime."
Su Hengzhe teased, though a hint of disappointment flashed in his eyes, which was well concealed by his gold-rimmed glasses.
Just as Luo Jiu was about to say something, she heard a knock on the door of the private room.
"Does this mean Young Master Su has made plans with someone else? Then I won't disturb you any longer."
Luo Jiu raised an eyebrow, her eyes full of mockery.
"Who is this blind fool who dares to try and steal Miss Luo's man?"
As Su Hengzhe spoke, he walked towards the door and opened it.
"Greetings, Young Master Su."
The bartender behind the door was a young boy who looked very immature, as if he hadn't even reached adulthood yet.
After the young waiter finished greeting Su Hengzhe, his round eyes peered inside. Upon seeing Luo Jiu, he hurriedly said:
"Sister Luo, Young Master Xu is here. The boss wants you to go and keep him company."
This little waiter was not only small in appearance, but also spoke with great innocence. Upon hearing this, both of them fell silent.
A moment later, Luo Jiu let out a "hiss".
It sounded like they were very dissatisfied and unwilling.
Xu Shaojun really has a big face.
But let alone accompany you, I don't even want to see your hypocritical face.
Compared to Luo Jiu, Su Hengzhe's performance was much more normal.
"This Major General Xu is really something. He's already in my room, and I thought he'd just snatch him away? Hmm?"
Judging from Young Master Su's words, he wasn't planning to release them. Even the naive young waitress could tell that something was amiss.
Large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"This... Sister Luo?"
