Ning Qing carried the fat man, dodging and weaving, until they arrived at a remote, abandoned palace. The large lock on the gate was rusty and no longer fit to hold its weight.
After glancing at it, Ning Qing decided to climb over the wall anyway.

Standing on the high wall, Ning Qing looked at the overgrown weeds in the yard, and heard the occasional squeak of a mouse.
Ning Qing tossed the rice dumpling off her shoulder, dusted off imaginary dust from her hands, and muttered to herself, "I hope that when I reappear, you will still be intact."
Seeing all this, the system felt a chill run down its spine in the space, and thought to itself: Is the host a devil? Such a big piece of fat meat is not safe anywhere, yet you expect it to remain intact?
Ning Qing stood on the high courtyard wall, looked around, identified a brightly lit place, lightly leaped onto the roof, her feet making a soft rustling sound as she stepped on the tiles, and quickly headed in that direction.
Approaching the brightly lit palace, Ning Qing leaped like a rabbit, silently landing on the rooftop. Looking down at the rows of imperial guards, Ning Qing made no sound this time. She reached a spot, gently lifted a tile, and peered inside.
Wow, this is incredible luck! The room below is actually the emperor's bedroom.
Inside the room, several palace lanterns painted with auspicious symbols of good fortune and longevity were lit, emitting a dim yet soft yellow light.
A person was lying on the bed, mumbling under the covers, eyes closed, breathing heavily.
At that moment, light footsteps sounded, and a woman in a fine dress with her hair adorned with jade ornaments walked in.
She walked to the bedside, sat down, and gently nudged the person whose eyes were tightly closed.
The person on the bed groggily opened their cloudy eyes. When they could make out the face of the person sitting beside the bed by the dim light in the room, their expression suddenly changed, and their cloudy eyes flashed with a fierce, bloodthirsty light like a wild beast.
He struggled to get up, but his body was too weak to support him and he could only struggle awkwardly.
The elegantly dressed woman sitting on the bed chuckled softly, leaning over to help the struggling person up, but was forcefully slapped away, and a low growl rang out, "You wicked woman, get out, get far away from me!"
After he finished speaking, all that could be heard was his rapid and heavy breathing, as if that low growl had used up all his strength.
Just as Ning Qing was engrossed in watching, she suddenly sensed something was wrong behind her. Just as she was about to make a move, a familiar voice came from beside her ear, "Qingqing, it's me."
Ning Qing turned her head and saw that it was Wu Chenxi, who was wearing a black robe and a mask.
Ning Qing shifted her body to make room for him, then waved to him, signaling him to come and watch the show together.
Wu Chenxi's eyes lit up, and she and Ning Qing lay on the roof together, watching the dramatic scene of the couple arguing inside.
Inside the room, the empress, her head adorned with jade, had eyes filled with hurt and madness.
He chuckled lightly, muttering repeatedly, "Poisonous woman, poisonous woman...hehe...you call me a poisonous woman...hahahahaha."
Her laughter grew louder and louder, and tears streamed down her face without her realizing it, yet she continued to laugh sadly as if she were oblivious.
Upon seeing this, the emperor on the bed frowned deeply, his face full of disgust. He growled and stopped him, "Enough! Have you gone mad enough? Look at your mad appearance, how can you be the demeanor of a dignified empress?"
Empress Gao gradually stopped laughing, her eyes flashing with resentment as she stared intently at the old emperor on the bed.
