Ning Qing saw Jun Cheng standing there.
She knew the reason in her heart, of course. She herself had taken medicine to recover that time, and she didn't know if the little one had taken medicine or applied medicine.
I know exactly how fierce I was last night.
It's surprising that the little guy was able to get out of bed today; he's got a good constitution! If you ignore his trembling legs from time to time, he's not much different from usual.
Ning Qing pretended not to know, "Why are you standing? Sit down."
After saying that, she grabbed Juncheng's hand and pulled him down sharply. Juncheng's buttocks hit the bed board, and his brows furrowed, his usually calm face stiffening slightly.
Ning Qing suppressed a laugh, but showed no sign of it on her face.
"What's wrong?"
Seeing her looking at him with her innocent, big eyes, Jun Cheng sighed helplessly to himself.
He stood up, patted Ning Qing's head, and said, "It's alright. Are you full? If not, I'll go and have them get you some more."
"That's enough," Ning Qing said, seeing him trying to suppress his discomfort. For some reason, she felt a little soft-hearted and didn't want to continue her mischievous schemes.
Sigh, do I have the potential to be a saint?
They've been imprisoned, yet they still can't bring themselves to be ruthless.
Ning Qing glared at someone with some annoyance, but as she glared, something started to feel off.
Staring at Jun Cheng's ethereal face, recalling the beauty of last night's bloom, it was as if an iceberg was melting, and red lotuses bloomed in the wind, swaying gracefully.
Ning Qing smacked her lips, seemingly savoring the memory.
Ning Qing said she could still eat more of this delicious dish.
She withdrew her gaze and collected her thoughts, then took a pill from under her pillow and handed it to Jun Cheng.
Jun Cheng didn't know what kind of therapeutic effect it had, but the thought that this was the first thing Ning Qing had ever given him made him feel overjoyed.
Ning Qing withdrew her hand and said, "Bend down."
Jun Cheng obediently did as instructed.
Ning Qing put the pill into his mouth. The pill dissolved upon contact with water, leaving only a lingering fragrance in his mouth.
Jun Cheng knew that Ning Qing had given him good quality medicine. He gently ruffled Ning Qing's hair and said, "Keep this good medicine for yourself. There's no need to give it to me. I'm fine."
But what I was really thinking was: Keep these medicines, you'll need them later, and I'll be gentler next time.
"I have plenty of medicine," Ning Qing said nonchalantly.
She has all kinds of pills in her space; after all, cough cough, heroes don't dwell on past glories.
Jun Cheng smiled faintly, "Yes, it will come in handy eventually." It's good that there's still plenty of medicine, so you can suffer less pain. That's good.
Jun Cheng looked at Ning Qing's wrists, which were bound by red silk. Although they were beautiful, he still felt a little reluctant to do so.
He leaned down, cupped Ning Qing's face in his hands, and tentatively asked, "Qingqing, do you like living here? Will you like me? Will you leave me?"
"It's alright."
Jun Cheng was somewhat disappointed, but it was alright.
If I let him go, will he leave me?
Ning Qing then added, "I would like it here if I weren't restricted."
Upon hearing this, Jun Cheng's eyes lit up instantly, and he stared intently into Ning Qing's eyes, as if trying to discern the truth from them.
He saw only a vast sea in those clear eyes, clear yet unfathomably deep.
This made him even more hesitant and uneasy.
Ning Qing smiled slightly and shook her fair wrist.
She looked at him with a smile in her eyes, without saying a word.
Jun Cheng knew that Ning Qing was giving him a chance; as long as he took the initiative to untie the knot, he would forgive him.
Jun Cheng's eyes were deep and complex. He remained silent for a moment, then sighed softly. "So be it. I was the one who fell in love first. I can't bear to let that person hate me."
Finally, the red silk binding Ning Qing's wrists was untied.
He used a special knotting technique that most people couldn't untie.
