010: "Being spied on".

Zhang Feng's hair was pulled hard, and the man howled in pain, his shoulders arching back and his hands frantically trying to grab something in the air.

"Hold."

The scarred man was the first to react. He quickly grabbed a baseball bat from the side, turned around, and smashed it down on the man who had suddenly appeared.

The baseball bat slammed into the man's arm, but the man seemed oblivious to the pain, expressionlessly kicking the scarred man in the stomach.

The man used ninety percent of his strength in that kick, mercilessly striking a vital area.

After the scarred man collapsed unexpectedly, the remaining two fell silent.

Only then did they realize that besides the man in front of them, there were two other people standing behind him.

The three were all dressed in pure black, with cold and stern expressions. They stood almost invisible in the dimly lit corridor, and would startle anyone who saw them at first glance.

"Who are you?" Zhang Feng finally broke free from the man's grasp and spat on the ground. "We're here to collect a debt. I advise you not to meddle in other people's business."

However, the three tall men in front of him clearly did not take Zhang Feng's insignificant warning seriously.

The man standing in the very center is the one who will strike first.

The man's patience was almost gone, and he punched Zhang Feng in the face again, silencing the words the other man was about to say.

Then, ignoring Zhang Feng's cries of pain, he walked straight over and carefully helped the frail boy up from the ground.

"Stay inside and don't come out no matter what."

After the man finished speaking, he slammed the creaking iron door shut, shutting the boy out of the dangerous atmosphere.

Before Huaiyan could react, the iron gate in front of her slammed shut with a loud bang.

“73…” Huai Yan was still shaken, rubbing her fair palms against the red and swollen skin that had just been stepped on. “What happened?”

He was prepared to get beaten up today.

In this dimension, the original owner didn't have any close friends, and even if they did, they wouldn't be of much help.

So when something goes wrong, you have to bear it all yourself, and when you encounter debt collectors, you can only obediently accept being beaten.

He has no money, so he can't hide anywhere.

“I don’t know either,” 073 was still confused, “but don’t go out yet, let’s see if anyone else comes.”

Huaiyan nodded and curled up on the sofa.

At first, there were cursing sounds outside the door, followed by a bloodcurdling scream.

The boy trembled with fear, and beads of cold sweat appeared on his nose.

The voice didn't seem to belong to the three men in black; it sounded more like the scarred man.

“I think…” the boy said softly, “those three people look like bodyguards.”

Dressed in all black, tall and with little facial expression, he certainly looked like a bodyguard to the average person.

“That doesn’t make sense,” 073 said. “The male lead doesn’t even know where you live yet, so how could he possibly send bodyguards over?”

However, before the individual and the system could figure things out, the fighting outside the door had already stopped.

The last sounds lingered as the body rolled down the steps and thudded against the ground.

The debt collectors were all beaten to the ground and lay there complaining bitterly.

Huaiyan carefully stood up, wanting to open the door and take a look.

But the commotion outside was too great, and the debt collectors didn't seem to have left yet. He stood at the entrance, hesitating for a long time.

Until the outside returned to its usual quiet.

The boy breathed a sigh of relief, opened the iron gate a crack, and peeked out cautiously.

But after just one glance, Huaiyan froze on the spot.

A man stood in the corridor, quietly watching him.
