Chapter 119 The Major General Used as Cannon Fodder (30)

Inside the spaceship, Mi Lan looked at her sleeping sister's face with reluctance, and couldn't help but check her breathing again. After a long while, she lowered her head, wiped her face, and took a deep breath.

As if he had made a decision, he looked at the person standing next to him and said with difficulty, "Marshal, if... if there is really no other way... then kill that parasite, at least let Xiaoxue leave this world cleanly."

Di Xiu had already explained the issues to him, and he had grown up and could distinguish between what was important and what was urgent, so he could only alleviate his inner grief on his own.

He sniffed, gritted his teeth, picked up the miniature treatment device, and turned to leave.

His limbs had just been repaired, and he was still somewhat unable to move around easily. He trembled a little when he walked. Moore swept the remaining treatment device into the spatial button and then went out.

Di Xiu lowered his eyes and looked down at the person lying flat in the hibernation pod. Her face was serene, as if she had fallen into a deep sleep.

His divine sense transformed into countless threads that enveloped her. She and the parasitic mother's spiritual field had no chance to resist and were easily broken into. An invisible net enveloped the huge "tumor".

001 hovered to the side, its face filled with worry.

The parasitic mother was something even Ling Qiushui could barely resist. Mi Xue's mental strength was far inferior to Ling Qiushui's, and it was unknown how much energy Di Xiu would have to expend to save her.

In this world, mental power is somewhat similar to the soul. Michelle's fragile mental power has been largely devoured and assimilated. Forcibly severing her mental connection with the parasitic mother is not an option. The best solution is to devour it back, but given her level of mental power, it's uncertain what the consequences will be.

There were times when 001 found Di Xiu very strange. He could watch Mark being bullied, but he tried to save Michelle, a person who was essentially terminally ill.

This was unlike anyone or any mission participant he had ever met before, but he couldn't quite put his finger on why.

After locking onto the parasitic mother's mental field, Di Xiu touched Michelle's forehead with his fingertip.

In the dark space, Michelle lay curled up on the ground, her body emitting a faint glow, like a flashlight with its battery almost depleted, appearing dim and hazy.

Amidst her disheveled bangs, a pair of large, fear-filled eyes gleamed with tears as she stared intently into the darkness. Her lower body, concealed by her skirt, was unusually emaciated—part of her body had quietly vanished.

She didn't know what was going on. On the night she returned to Milan Star, she woke up in a daze and found herself locked up in this place.

She tried to find a way out, but was trapped in this small space. She could hear the crunching sound of something being chewed all the time, and her body ached from time to time.

Something was gnawing at her "body," but she couldn't see it.

The light emanating from her body gradually dimmed, and she watched in horror as her feet began to disappear, but she was powerless to stop it.

She tried to sense the whereabouts of her lost body, and her consciousness split in two in that instant. One half lay on the ground, waiting to die in despair, while the other half seemed to be tumbling in a meat grinder before slowly melting away.

She felt like she wasn't herself anymore, fearfully withdrawing her consciousness, afraid to think any further, just hopelessly waiting for complete disappearance.

Sometimes she could hear her brother's voice, and at first she would respond excitedly, but when she opened her mouth she could not make a sound.

Michelle.

Michelle.

She didn't react, nor did she care to find out who was calling her; she closed her eyes in despair.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes, touched her forehead in a daze, as if someone was touching her. A cake covered in red and green cream appeared out of nowhere in front of her, looking cheap but also so childlike and cute, somewhat like... the birthday cake her brother bought for her when she was seven years old, which was the first birthday cake she ever received.

She reached out in a daze, scooped out a large piece of cream, and stuffed it into her mouth. The artificial sweetness, full of additives, filled her mouth. She propped herself up and began to wolf it down.

After the cake was finished, a candy jar appeared. It contained star-shaped candies that Aunt Anna had bought for her as a gift.

But she was full.

She touched her stomach and felt a little nauseous. She tried to eat a piece of candy and swallowed it with difficulty, but suddenly her stomach started to hurt and her head started to ache. A cold voice in her ear said, "Michelle, throw up."

She did as instructed, and the candy she spat out seemed to turn into a clump of transparent gel, which disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Michelle blinked, feeling less uncomfortable, and looked around to find the source of the sound.

She felt the name sounded familiar, as if she had heard it somewhere before, but she couldn't quite place it.

Then she noticed that the horrifying "creaking" sound had disappeared, and her missing lower body seemed to have grown back a little.

Di Xiu withdrew his divine sense, pressed his brow, compared the difference in spiritual power between Mi Xue and the parasitic mother, and felt a suffocating sense of hopelessness.

001 asked worriedly, "How is it? Can it be saved?"

"able."

When Di Xiu thought of the octopuses kept in the manor, he made up his mind. After Mo Er and the others removed the parasites from the heads of all the parasites, they piloted the spaceship back to Earth.

On the way, Mi Lan gave a general account of what had happened, including how he discovered that something was wrong with Mi Xue, and then immediately sent an urgent message to Di Xiu.

He didn't really want to trouble Di Xiu, but besides him, Mi Lan didn't know who else to turn to. His teacher's strength was average, and coming over would only be a waste of his time.

But before he could tell her the details of the situation, he was discovered by "Michelle," his personal computer was taken away, and he was imprisoned and tortured.

Di Xiu took Mi Lan and Mi Xue directly back to his manor. Wood came over after seeing this from next door, but was blocked by the manor gate this time, so he returned disappointed.
