As the sun and moon shone together, the Blood Hunters arrived bathed in orange-red light. Each of them was covered in blood grime accumulated over the past two days, exuding a murderous aura that made them appear even more cruel and terrifying than the vampires.
In Prince Milne's territory, most of the vampires, led by the elders, went to besiege the Blood Hunter Alliance. Those who remained panicked when they saw the large number of blood hunters approaching.
It's worth mentioning that none of the vampires who went out to besiege the Blood Hunter Alliance returned, because it was almost dawn when they retreated.
The vampires' weakness of dying in the light was brought to its extreme at this critical moment. They could only hide in dark corners away from the light, and in their fear, they were uncontrollably trapped and seized, falling into nightmares.
Blood Hunters don't need to worry about being chased at all; they can simply raid the enemy's base.
Just then, the hunting vampires spotted the blood hunters' tracks and accelerated to their maximum speed, shouting as they flew, "It's bad, the blood hunters..."
"Bang--"
"Quickly report to His Highness..."
"Bang--"
"Bang bang—"
Inside the castle, some of the weaker vampires dared not go out and said in trembling voices, "Yesterday, the elders led so many vampires to hunt down the blood hunters, but why haven't they returned yet? Instead, blood hunters have come. Did something happen to them?"
"Impossible. They're just humans. The elders brought sacred artifacts with them, and there were so many fifth and sixth generation vampires. They couldn't possibly lose."
Hearing the commotion, the castle steward came out, his expression slightly changing, but he forced himself to remain calm and ordered, "Wake up all the vampires."
"Wake up, everyone. If you keep sleeping, don't wake up at all."
"When will His Highness wake up...?"
"How much longer will it take for His Highness to awaken the Prince..."
Outside the castle, the former chieftain slapped his forehead and suddenly whispered to Di Xiu, "Your sword is gone. How are you going to fight without it?"
Di Xiu glanced at him sideways: "Are you still half asleep?"
As soon as he reached out, the logistics manager immediately presented him with a silver longsword. The former leader was somewhat worried and hesitated for a moment, unsure whether he should continue speaking.
However, he didn't have time to waste any more words, because after a moment of panic, the vampires, under the organization of the castle steward, took the initiative to fight.
Di Xiu had good hearing and heard a little noise. It seemed that their prince was about to be awakened and they were trying to buy time.
But what good is waking up? When vampires awaken from their long slumber, they enter a period of weakness, lasting anywhere from five or six days to one or two months, and they can't even last a full twenty-four hours.
The principle of "capture the king first" is understood by both the people of the Western Continent and the vampires. Therefore, the vampires took the lead and attacked the leading Emperor Cultivator, but were blocked by the other blood hunters.
Emperor Xiu drew a long bloody mark on his sword with his fingers and entered the castle under the cover of other blood hunters. All the ambush vampires were killed by him with a single sword strike.
He scanned the castle with his divine sense, leaped up and down the stairs, easily dealt with the vampires blocking his way, and kicked open the tightly closed door.
It was still a magnificent black coffin, and next to it was a boy with blood flowing from his wrist. He was so beautiful that it was hard to tell if he was male or female. Judging from his appearance alone, he seemed to be three or four years younger than Di Xiu's body.
The boy suppressed his surprise, his eyes flashing with murderous intent. His pupils instantly turned crimson, his fangs protruded, and the flowing blood transformed into a blood axe that fell into his palm. He then cleaved down without any hesitation.
"Human, you're asking for death."
The silver sword, stained with blood brimming with spiritual energy, clashed with the blood axe, hissing and swirling with blue smoke. It was impossible to tell whether the blood was corroding the silver sword or the silver sword was purifying the blood axe.
Di Xiu had no intention of fighting and resorted to the same old trick, suddenly accelerating. Just as he was about to pierce Di Xiu's heart, the coffin lid, which had been silent all along, suddenly flew up and smashed straight towards Di Xiu.
Emperor Xiu, however, dodged and met the attack with even greater speed. A Blazing Sun Talisman floated lightly into the coffin, and a miserable scream instantly pierced the eardrums, making people dizzy.
The boy looked in horror toward the source of the sound, and in the next instant, he went completely mad, recklessly drawing out all the blood in his body, which transformed into a dense web of blood that enveloped the area.
His talent is blood poison, which, as the name suggests, means instant death upon contact.
He couldn't imagine that his father had become ashes, but even if it was just a single hair on his father's head, he would never forgive the person in front of him.
But why, why is this human so powerful... so powerful that he doesn't seem human...
Just before he was about to disappear, he desperately lunged toward the coffin, only to find it empty. A single tear of blood rolled down his cheek and disappeared into the dust.
This was a battle with no suspense whatsoever. The Blood Hunters were like Japanese soldiers invading a village. After sending the humans away, they rested again while waiting to be surrounded and attacked.
After getting through the most difficult night, although dozens of blood hunters still died that night, all the vampires were successfully saved.
After dawn, the process was repeated, and before the next night fell, four of the five princes were gone, leaving only Locke, who had been stripped of his bloodline.
There may still be vampires lurking in the shadows, not yet revealed, which will take a long time.
But before that, they had to bring their dead comrades home, and Di Xiu also had to complete his last mission.
He drove alone to Locke's castle and opened the broken door.
Ariel had woken up long ago, but she was unable to move. She lay on the floor day after day, suffering from hunger and cold, and also had unresolved physical problems.
Hearing the noise outside the door, I felt a mix of joy, fear, embarrassment, and shame, but most importantly, I wanted to escape my current situation.
She wasn't worried about her life. Zhong Yi had said that blood hunters wouldn't harm ordinary people, and the vampires had always treated her well.
When the person revealed their true face from behind the door, the joy on her face vanished instantly. Her already pale face became even closer to the skin color of a vampire. Hatred surged into her mind in an instant, causing her azure eyes to become bloodshot and turn red, as if she were about to mutate on the spot.
