The noise here attracted the patrolling guards. There was a burst of hurried footsteps, and seven or eight flashlights shone on the two people who were climbing up.
Gu Liang was covered in grass debris, and Shi Rongrong had leaves hanging in her hair. They couldn't stand the sudden strong light, so they shielded their eyes with their arms, looking miserable.
The two were then taken back to the security office, where the guards treated them as a couple seeking excitement late at night and lectured them for most of the night.
"Tell me, you are all students, how can you do such dirty things in the wild?" The old guard was heartbroken.
Shi Rongrong wanted to explain, "No, we, we were just there... there..."
The old guard's face was filled with sarcasm. "Go on, keep making it up! Why don't you wait until you're done before you speak?"
Gu Liang was dissatisfied with his attitude and retorted, "You are just guards. You slander students like this. Aren't you afraid that I will complain to the school?"
The old guard chuckled, "Alright, you two, you were caught red-handed meeting in the small garden in the middle of the night. This alone is reason enough for you to be criticized. Since you despise my security department, you should be handed over directly to the Academic Affairs Office."
When Shi Rongrong heard this, she was so shocked that she quickly said something nice. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's our fault. We've caused you so much trouble. Please don't turn this over to the Academic Affairs Office. I beg you."
The old guard snorted coldly.
Shi Rongrong quickly pushed Gu Liang and said, "Apologize now."
Gu Liang was naturally afraid. His reputation was already bad enough. If he was reported again, he would be finished. He could only bow his head and say, "I'm sorry, it's my fault. Please give me another chance."
It was already morning when Rongrong was taken back by the guards with her head hung down.
Su Man was eating breakfast and was surprised to see Rongrong like this. "Rongrong, what's wrong with you?"
Shi Rongrong was furious when she saw Su Man, who was unharmed, and her voice was filled with anger, "Didn't you say you were going to look for Gu Liang last night?"
Su Man nodded, "Yes, but when I wanted to go out, my aunt said that the guards were out and she didn't know if there was a burglary, so she wouldn't let me out."
She looked at Shi Rongrong's miserable appearance and inadvertently raised the corner of her lips. "Didn't you go to Li Meng's place? How did you get so miserable?"
Shi Rongrong was stunned, and did not bother to question Su Man. She stammered, "Yes... I fell when I came back."
"Oh, then you'd better be careful. Look at the dark circles under your eyes. I would think you didn't sleep all night." Su Man looked innocent.
