Qin Mosheng turned around and saw that Wang Man had followed him at some point, bringing Zhou Anan with her.
Qin Mosheng frowned. He had finally managed to get Zhou Anan away and was going to take Zhou Pingping to find the person. But how come Wang Man brought someone here again?
Although Zhou Anan is only twelve years old, he loves his sister the most. It would be fine if he didn't find her, but if he found her, she would be in big trouble.
Just as he worried, when Zhou Anan saw Zhou Pingping tied up and thrown on the ground, he became furious and used his "Iron Head Skill" again, knocking the woodcutter aside and reaching out to untie the rope on his sister.
The woodcutter was so annoyed when he saw this that he said, "Hey, where did you come from, you bastard? Get out of here right now."
An adult's strength is naturally not comparable to that of a teenager, so the woodcutter grabbed Zhou Pingping and caught him.
Seeing this, Su Man hurried over to stop them. Looking at their muscular bodies, she said politely, "Sorry, brothers, we won't sell them anymore."
"Not selling anymore? You took my cake and you're not selling it anymore?"
"I'll give you the food."
Qin Mosheng's face immediately darkened when he heard Su Man say that. He frowned and said, "Now is not the time to be soft-hearted. We have no food left. If the child follows us, he will starve to death. These two brothers still have some food. Zhou Pingping can survive with them. It's better than following us."
"Pooh, pooh, pooh."
Zhou Pingping spat out the straw in her mouth and mercilessly exposed him, "You're talking nonsense! You just said you sold me as food and wanted to eat me!"
When Zhou Pingping said this, not only Zhou Anan, but even Su Man was shocked.
Although everyone knows the idiom "exchanging one's own children for food", it is still hard to accept when it is applied in reality.
Zhou Anan's eyes turned red with anxiety. She hugged Zhou Pingping and yelled at Su Man, "Why did you sell my sister? You are not from our family. Get out!"
Qin Mosheng pulled Su Man and whispered, "Look, you've been married to the Zhou family for several years, and you've been with them every day, but they still keep saying you're an outsider. It's better to send such a shameless child away to save yourself the trouble."
Su Man's face turned cold. "This is my family. If I say I don't want to sell it, then I won't sell it. Return the things to them."
Qin Mosheng was stunned by Su Man's tough attitude. Although Wang Man was willful and aggressive in front of others, ever since he said that he liked quiet and gentle women, she always acted like a little bird in front of him and spoke with a pinched voice. She had never spoken so harshly before, which made Qin Mosheng feel a little embarrassed.
Seeing that he was hesitating, Su Man reached out and grabbed the paper bag from his hand, "I'll return the food to you, but we won't sell the child."
The woodcutter's face turned black. "You two are kidding me! I gave you three and a half, what do you mean by one and a half?"
At this point, Qin Mosheng had no choice but to take out the cake from his arms. He even explained that he was afraid of encountering bandits.
Even the woodcutter couldn't stand his words. He gave Su Man a meaningful look when he took the cake.
Fortunately, the two woodcutters did not make things difficult for them. They took the food and left. It seemed that they were not extremely vicious people.
The food he had got was gone again, and Qin Mosheng went to the side with a sullen face and sulked.
Su Man was too lazy to pay attention to him. If she wasn't afraid that she would be noticed as a woman traveling alone, she would have wanted to give him to the two woodcutters for free.
Seeing Zhou Anan struggling to untie the rope, Su Man went over to help. As soon as he stretched out his hand, Zhou Anan slapped him away. He stood in front of Zhou Pingping with a vigilant look on his face, "What do you want to do now!"
Su Man knew that he would not trust her as a woman who had just sold his sister, so she did not force him. She put down her hand and explained, "The hemp rope is tied in a knot. It can't be untied by pulling. It needs to be untied."
"You'd be so kind!"
Although Zhou Pingping was tied up, she was still aggressive when she faced Su Man, "Tell me! What do you want?"
Although Zhou Pingping is one year younger than her brother, she is a thoughtful person. She doesn't think that Su Man has changed her personality by suddenly saving her. She must have some other plan.
Su Man was at a loss whether to laugh or cry when facing these two siblings. She knew that they wouldn't listen to her explanation, so she simply gave up and deliberately frightened them, "Even if I want to do something, can you two do anything about it?"
Zhou Pingping was silent. No matter how fierce they were, they were still children. If they didn't follow the adults, they would probably be captured by refugees and bandits before they could go far.
"Hurry up, untie the rope so we can get going."
Su Man stepped forward again. Perhaps she really couldn't untie it, so Zhou Anan glared at Su Man and stepped back.
As soon as Su Man touched the rope, Zhou Pingping shook her shoulders to stop her, "Don't touch me! I'd rather die here than let you help me!"
Su Man's patience was exhausted, and without arguing with her, she simply asked Mimi to send her a pair of scissors.
A silver light flashed, and Zhou Pingping thought Su Man was going to kill someone, and screamed "Oh my God!". When the rope on her body fell off, she realized that Su Man had cut the rope.
Zhou Anan was afraid that Su Man would harm Zhou Pingping, so she quickly pulled her sister over.
Qin Mosheng, who was standing by, saw the scissors in Su Man's hand and stopped pretending to be dead. He walked over with a look of shock on his face, "You, actually hid a pair of scissors?"
Not really, this pair of scissors was just given to her by her eldest son.
But Su Man couldn't say that, so she could only nod and say, "Yeah, I hide it for self-defense."
Qin Mosheng's eyes changed. He looked around Su Man and fixed his gaze on her drooping small cloth bag.
When he was separated from his group, he had no food with him. Fortunately, Wang Man shared the rations in her bag with him, which helped him to survive.
