While Lu Li was in the hospital, she received a divorce agreement from Chen Hongjiang.
She tore up all the papers and said she would definitely not sign them. But after she talked to her lawyer, she was no longer so stubborn.
First, Chen Hongjiang's company wasn't actually in his name, so if she went through legal proceedings, she wouldn't get a single cent. More importantly, Chen Hongjiang had a recording of her instructing the confinement nanny to give Mimi sleeping pills. If that were brought to court, she'd be lucky if she wasn't arrested, and getting a share of the profits would be out of the question.
So even though Lu Li was reluctant, she had no choice but to accept her fate and sign the contract, and moved back to her parents' home with all her bags.
The day after Lu Li moved out of the villa, Mimi was also discharged from the hospital.
On that day, Chen Hongjiang asked the chef at home to prepare a table of delicious food, one to celebrate Mimi's recovery, and the other for Song Yalian.
This was the first time she sat at the dining table and had a meal with them as the host. Now she no longer needed to wear an apron. She wore a high-end dress with her long hair tied behind her head.
Song Yalian was sitting in Lu Li's original seat, right opposite Chen Junjie.
Chen Junjie was very unhappy to see her taking over his position, but he didn't say anything because of Chen Hongjiang.
Chen Hongjiang didn't notice his emotions. He raised his glass and said with a smile, "With Xiang Man and the children back, our family is reunited. This time, Yalian can finally rest assured."
Su Man smiled sweetly, raised her glass and replied, "Thank you, Dad, thank you, Mom."
Hearing the word "Mom", Chen Junjie paused, "Haha, you changed your tune so quickly."
Chen Hongjiang glared, "What did you say?"
Chen Junjie whispered, "That's how it is. Yesterday she was a nanny, but today she's become a mother."
"Shut up!" Chen Hongjiang scolded.
Song Yalian forced a smile, "Hong Jiang, Junjie is right, I am indeed not his mother." She said to Chen Junjie, "Junjie, just call me Aunt Song."
Seeing that Chen Junjie was still stiff-necked and didn't say anything, Chen Hongjiang was completely disappointed and put down his wine glass. "If you don't want to eat, get off the table. No one wants to see your face."
Chen Junjie shut up awkwardly, and for a moment the only sound in the room could be heard was the clattering of dishes and chopsticks.
Chen Hongjiang was afraid that Song Yalian would be upset, so he picked up a piece of her favorite shrimp with his chopsticks and said to her, "Yalian, I'm going to hold a dinner this weekend as our engagement party. I'll ask the designer to come over later, and you can tell him your ideas."
Song Yalian declined, "No need, Hongjiang, this is too grand, I can't bear it."
"No, I must give you a proper wedding. I owe you this."
Su Man smiled and advised, "Yes, Mom, it's Dad's kindness, you can't refuse it. If there is anything I need help with, just tell me."
Chen Hongjiang smiled and said, "Xiang Man is really considerate."
Song Yalian scolded, “My daughter-in-law is speaking for you, I have no objection.”

Chen Junjie looked at them coldly as they enjoyed themselves. He felt like an outsider. He put down his chopsticks and scowled, "I'm full."
He went up the stairs with heavy steps, venting his anger as he stepped on the stairs, feeling angry.
If he marries a nanny as his stepmother and holds an engagement party to announce it to the world, he will definitely become a laughing stock.
Not to mention how those young masters would tease him when they heard the news. He felt embarrassed when he thought of that scene.
Chen Junjie hammered the wall hard. He must not allow this to happen, absolutely not!
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Chen Junjie was annoyed and asked impatiently, "Who is it?"
"It's me, Xiang Man."
Chen Junjie became furious when he heard Xiang Man's voice. If she hadn't called this woman back, Lu Li would not have been abandoned.
"Go away, I don't want to see you now."
