Chapter 395 The Undisciplined Village Girl (8)

A green apple lay quietly in Wang Fengye's palm.

When Su Man picked it up, the apple had already been warmed by Wang Fengye's body temperature.

Apples are a rare commodity in Daming Village. Su Man asked curiously, "Where did they come from?"

"I helped Aunt Zhou chop a load of firewood today, and she gave it to me."

In Daming Village, every melon and every fruit was hard to come by. Su Man couldn't bear to eat the apple that Wang Fengye had exchanged for a load of firewood, so she declined, "I've eaten too much tonight, you have it."

Su Man pushed the apple to Wang Fengye again.

Unexpectedly, Wang Fengye got angry. He turned away from Su Man and sat on the long bench in the room with his back to her, sulking alone.

Su Man laughed and shook her head.

It was all because Wang Fengye’s appearance was so deceptive that she always unconsciously mistook him for a normal person.

She thought about it with a child's mindset. Children are not like adults. Sometimes they give things to others just to be polite.

Children's gifts are sincere. If you don't accept them, they will feel hurt.

Su Man figured it out. She walked over to Wang Fengye, pushed his shoulder, and said in a coaxing tone, "Okay, don't be angry anymore."

Wang Fengye's mouth was pouting so much that you could hang a bottle of oil on it. His eyes were slightly red, and he looked quite pitiful.

Su Man suppressed her laughter and said, "You won't give it to me?"

Wang Fengye still didn't speak.

Su Man rolled her eyes and said with a hint of regret, "Oh, I love apples the most. I was thinking that if someone gave me an apple today, I would thank him very much and buy him a toy in town tomorrow. Since no one gave me one, forget it."

When he heard about toys, Wang Fengye's eyes lit up. He raised the apple in his hand to Su Man like offering a treasure, "I have it, I have it. Give it to me."

Su Man couldn't hold it in anymore and laughed for a long time before taking the apple from Wang Fengye's hand.

This time she didn't dare to be reserved and opened her mouth and took a bite.

There was a crisp sound, and Wang Fengye looked at her eagerly and asked expectantly, "Is it sweet?"

Su Man swallowed the sour water in her mouth, her expression flawless as she smiled and said, "Sweet, sweet to the heart."

"Then eat quickly." Wang Fengye urged.

“.......”

In order to repay the favor, I endured it.

After eating an apple, my teeth felt soft. I had to brush my teeth several times before the sour taste went away.

Damn, what a sin.

next day

Su Man got up early and filled a basket with the newly harvested soybeans.

She had already greeted Liu Ping yesterday and said she was going to the town to sell the soybeans.

Although Liu Ping had the same idea as Wang Fugui, seeing Su Man's enthusiasm, she didn't refuse. She thought she would let her try and come back when she hit a wall.

So, Suman packed her backpack early in the morning and rushed to catch the bus from the village to the town.

After a long journey, Suman arrived in the town.

She first asked someone about the location of the vegetable seller. She didn't say that she wanted to sell vegetables, she just asked where she could buy fresh vegetables.

Finally, she chose the place that most people talked about, Caishikou on West Street.

But when I got to Caishikou, I saw that there were at least fifty people selling side dishes.

Su Man first walked around and found that the vegetables sold by everyone were similar, such as sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and rice.

Greenhouse vegetables are not popular nowadays, and people eat what is in season.

Su Man found a place and planned to sell the soybeans, at least to earn back the money for today's train ticket.

Just as she put the basket down, she heard a surprised voice beside her, "Goldman?"
