"Come in." Ning Mu went in first.
As soon as she stepped into the entrance hall, Su Man smelled the fragrance of lilies.
The room was bright and clean. Although the furniture was no longer new, it was cleaned very well.
A bouquet of lilies was placed on the wooden coffee table in front of the reddish-brown leather sofa.
On the wall behind the sofa is a big word "Quiet".
"Please sit down for a moment. I'll go to the kitchen to put something away." Ning Mu said.
At this time, Su Man noticed that the plastic bags Ning Mu was carrying contained fish, meat, and various fruits and vegetables.
It looks like they are going to prepare some big meal.
"Teacher Ning, do you have any guests tonight?" Su Man asked casually.
"Guests? No."
Ning Mu, who had already entered the kitchen, replied through the glass door.
Su Man felt strange, but didn't say anything else.
She stood up and walked towards the balcony, pretending to look at the flowers there, but actually she was looking at the surrounding layout.
The house has two bedrooms and a living room. The door of one of the bedrooms is open. Judging from the neatly folded pajamas on the bed, Ning Mu is currently living in this room.
The door of the other room was ajar, and a word "peace and blessing" was hung on the milky white door.
Could that be the room where A Zi used to live?
"Eat fruit."
Su Man turned her head suddenly. Ning Mu came out of the kitchen at some point and put a plate of fruit on the coffee table.
"Thank you, Teacher Ning."
Su Man sat on the sofa with him as if nothing had happened. She reached out and took an orange and held it in her hand. "Teacher Ning, how come you live in such a big house by yourself?"
After asking, she stared at Ning Mu's face closely to see how he would react.
Ning Mu was peeling an apple with a fruit knife. Upon hearing this, his hand paused, and a long piece of apple peel fell off. He lowered his eyes and said, "I'm used to it."
He didn't mention A Zi, nor did he talk about his marriage. He just handed the peeled apple to Su Man and asked, "Are you busy tonight?"
"At night? No." Su Man said in a relaxed tone.
"Stay for dinner."
Su Man was quite surprised to hear Ning Mu's invitation.
Obviously, she wanted to go in and take a look just now, but Ning Mu was unwilling.
She thought Ning Mu would want her to leave early, but she didn't expect that he would actually keep her for dinner.
But she didn't refuse, and smiled harmlessly, "Okay, then I'll trouble Teacher Ning."
...
When preparing dinner, Su Man offered to help, but Ning Mu politely asked her to leave the kitchen and turned on the TV for her.
Although the kitchen door is made of glass, the cooking counter is facing away from the door.
So when Ning Mu started cooking dinner, he couldn't see what was behind him.
Ning Mu looks very skilled when cooking, and it's obvious that she cooks often.
I saw him first fill a pond with water, put the fish in, and then start to gut the fish.
When Ning Mu was digging out the fish's internal organs, the fish's tail kept swinging until its stomach was empty and its tail could no longer move. Then Ning Mu washed it and put it into the pot along with the onions, ginger and garlic.
Su Man observed for a while and found that Ning Mu was very focused on cooking and did not look back the whole time.
So she turned her gaze to the bedroom with the door ajar.
She had just observed that there was nothing about A Zi in the entire house, not even a photo.
If Ning Mu hadn't thrown away all her things, then there would only be one place left.
In the kitchen, Ning Mu was turning the fish over.
She walked lightly towards the bedroom.
Suman's hand touched the golden door handle.
The room was pitch black. As the door opened, light squeezed through the gap and shone into the bedroom, illuminating the bed.
"Bang, bang, bang"
When Suman saw the scene on the bed, she could even hear her own heartbeat.
On the big black bed, a woman lay quietly with her hands folded on her chest...
"Shh, don't wake her."
The exploding sound beside her ears forced Su Man to take two steps back.
Ning Mu, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, was standing opposite. Although he was dressed very casually, he exuded a gloomy chill.
Su Man clenched her hands into fists, took a deep breath, and pretended to be calm, "Who is she?"
"Don't you already know that?"
Ning Mu stared at the woman on the bed with infatuated eyes.
Su Man swallowed hard, trying to suppress her panic, "I thought she was gone."
Ning Mu smiled gently, "No, she just fell asleep. Someone helped me revive her, and we will be together forever."
“…”
In a flash, Su Man understood everything.
"It was that person who made you..."
"Shhh."
Ning Mu frowned, "Didn't I tell you not to wake her up?"
Seeing him looking at the bed tenderly, Su Man felt cold all over.
It turned out that everything she had experienced during this period was arranged by that person in advance.
He calculated that she would see the trademark of the doll, that she would contact Ning Mu when she saw the phone call, and even that she would investigate Ning Mu.
Su Man felt like she had fallen into a huge net. The more she struggled, the tighter the net became.
She realized the danger and subconsciously ran out the door.
Ning Mu didn't stop her, but just watched her quietly as she rushed to the door, but couldn't open it no matter what.
"Don't bother trying. This lock is specially made to prevent Azi from escaping on his own."
Ning Mu stood behind her at some point and said, "He helped me, so I want to help him too."
