Lu Heng was filled with deep regret; he shouldn't have come to see Li Yunrou that day. No, he shouldn't have come at all. These past few days, he had been so worried about the financial situation that he couldn't sleep or eat. His body had reached its limit.
Otherwise... otherwise, he, a grown man, wouldn't have let Li Yunrou, a woman paralyzed in both legs, push him down and break his legs.
And then there are those two mentally ill people living next door to Li Yunrou; they're always yelling and screaming about something.

In the following days, Lu Heng loitered around the mental hospital every day, trying to find a way to sneak in.
Another two weeks later, two patients in the mental hospital incited others to escape, and the place descended into chaos.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Lu Heng rushed in, pushing his wheelchair straight to Li Yunrou's residence. He took a knife and severed her paralyzed legs, then killed her. Finally, he committed suicide...
Two years later,
At the banquet.
After Shen Yuan entered, he greeted a few people. Then, he looked around and saw a familiar figure sitting on the sofa. He walked towards her without hesitation.
He sat down next to Luo Xi, his gaze fixed intently on her, who was dressed in a long red dress and had a stunningly beautiful face. He teased, "My dear Miss Luo, it's really difficult to see you these days!"
Upon hearing this, Luo Xi looked up at him, smiled slightly, and shrugged helplessly, "Sigh, there's nothing I can do, I'm too busy with work."
He put his arm around her shoulder and said with a hint of grievance, "Then when will my dear girlfriend be less busy? I'd like to invite you to dinner. Are you free tomorrow night? We haven't eaten together for two days."
That's right, Luo Xi and Shen Yuan are together. He pursued Luo Xi for over a year before finally winning her over.
Luo Xi looked at him with a smile, "Tomorrow? Of course I'm free."
