Chapter 1: Words Come True

Chapter 1: Words Come True

Beijing...

Recently, a mute princess named Luo Xi came to the capital. She is the daughter of Princess Jing'an and Grand Commandant Luo. Due to illness, she has been living in Jiangnan for many years.

Now, she is much healthier and has reached marriageable age.

So, Princess Jing'an and Grand Commandant Luo thought about it and brought the person back from Jiangnan...

Luo Xi has been back in the capital for a month.

Since her return, she hasn't uttered a single word. She doesn't greet Princess Jing'an or Grand Commandant Luo, and she doesn't respond when her younger siblings call her.

At first, Princess Jing'an and Grand Commandant Luo thought she was just not used to it.

But it's been a month, hasn't she adapted yet?

In the end, they assumed that Luo Xi was mute.

To prevent Luo Xi from offending anyone, she avoided Luo Xi and told everyone that Luo Xi was mute.

And so, everyone in the capital knew that Luo Xi was a mute girl who couldn't speak.

That day, at the Princess's residence,

In the garden,

Princess Jing'an took Luo Xi for a stroll in the garden.

When three-year-old Luo Chengyan saw that Luo Xi was ignoring him, he picked up a stone and tried to throw it at her.

Princess Jing'an saw this but didn't stop them. She simply said disapprovingly, "Chengyan, you can't throw stones at your sister; she'll get hurt..."

Luo Chengyan ignored Princess Jing'an's words and threw him forcefully at Luo Xi.

Luo Xi saw it, quickly dodged away, and muttered something under her breath.

The next second, the stone hit the tree behind Luo Xi, bounced back, and struck Luo Chengyan on the forehead, drawing blood...

Princess Jing'an was startled and hugged Luo Chengyan, anxiously calling out, "Quickly, call the imperial physician!"

She glanced at Luo Xi, who was standing there dumbfounded, without any worry in her eyes, and felt a little resentful.

If Luo Xi hadn't dodged, the stone wouldn't have bounced back and hit Cheng Yan. He's still just a child; the impact of that stone was so strong, what if he got injured and couldn't recover?

Luo Xi was rarely by her side, so she didn't have much affection for her.

Luo Xi wasn't blind; she saw the way Princess Jing'an looked at her, and she disliked it very much.

Is it her fault?

If she doesn't dodge, she'll be the one who gets hurt.

Princess Jing'an and the others don't love her, so can't she love herself?

Then, Luo Xi said something else.

Just then, Luo Chengyan cried out in pain. He struggled violently, and children are surprisingly strong. In the end, he scratched Princess Jing'an's eye.

"Ah!" Princess Jing'an screamed and pushed Luo Chengyan away forcefully.

The maids were terrified when they saw that Princess Jing'an's eyes were bleeding, and they all rushed to urge the mansion to come over.

And so, Princess Jing'an went blind...

Because of this incident, Princess Jing'an harbored a deep resentment towards Luo Xi.

If it weren't for Luo Xi, Luo Chengyan wouldn't have a deep scar on her forehead, and she wouldn't have gone blind...

She didn't blame Luo Chengyan for scratching her eye, because Princess Jing'an felt that if Luo Xi hadn't dodged, nothing would have happened.

Luo Xi isn't a child. If that stone were thrown at her, it would only hurt a little, but it wouldn't leave a scar.

Princess Jing'an felt that Luo Xi was a jinx, someone who was specifically designed to bring misfortune to them.

Luo Xi has only been back for a month, and both she and Luo Chengyan are injured. What else could this be but a jinx?

Luo Xi is a jinx.
